Truly impressive cooling and simplified installation with a sensible price!
Sounds like a winning combination to me.
The Thermaltake Toughliquid EX PRO ARGB Sync uses some very cool technology to bring a fresh new look and increased cooling to the existing Toughliquid range of AIO coolers.
First the magforce 2.0 EX Pro 140mm fans use LCP technology to create a lightweight but strong blade to prevent wobbles and deformations of the blades at high RPMs thus reducing noise and turbulence but still having a long lifespan.
The improved copper cold plate is larger and has more microfins to give a larger internal surface area. This allows the cooler to have cooling certification for Intel K series Processors and of course it will work with almost all modern platforms and socket types.
In our testing we had a 14700K using nearly 350 watts and it still didn't throttle or break 90c
Pretty impressive stuff.

Wow, nice one Thermaltake !!! That think looks amazing and judging by your review it does what it says on the tin too ! Think the pricing is spot on too, sure there are cheaper ones out there but the build quality on this bad boy looks to be top notch. Thanks Mike and Kath 🙂
it is a very good cooler and if they can keep the price right, this is a great option and lots of sizes to choose from
I'm still a fan of fans and this channel too 😛
thank you sir
Interesting how TT have designed this unit to be so efficient yet fit a multitude of pc cases. No need for 360 / 420 when fitting this quality unit. Wish i had given more thought yo unit like this b4 buying FS140 twin towers / fans as the weight induced stress on mb is my concern. Thanks for reviewing Mike and Kath 🐈👍
cheers Nick
Those fans push a lot of air. Around 120 cfm at max rpm and static pressure is at around 3.6 mm/h2.0. Very nice Thermaltake. Thanks for sharing Mike and Lady Kath. Cheers
It is actually a surprisingly good cpu cooler I've never been a particular fan of 280 mil AIO so this was actually a very pleasant surprise and also at a pretty decent price
@@mikesunboxing Now they just need to make a dual 200mm AIO. 😄 Cheers guys
Good one Mike. Thank you.
Yeppers, I agree.
(that's my bro right there :)
thanks James'
These A.I.O.s are very good, I have the 420V2 ARGB and it keeps my 12900k 25-35c idle, 50's under load.
thanks!
Nice. Need to upgrade my Arctic one. Worthy contender.
LF III models are cheaper and better - the Thermaltake models are nothing special (though those new fans are very good), but they are definately better priced than most other brands out there.
@@malphadour Yeah I have LFII, had it a while so I do need to upgrade soon. Not in a rush, might do it after the summer. I need to buy a new case anyway, I might get the LianLi Dynamic. I would rather stick to Arctic as I trust them. I might go for a 280 or 360.
@@JohnDavidSullivan I went up to a Lancool III a while back with an LFII 420 - PC is basically silent - even when rendering - there is something to be said for going a little overkill on your cooling.
Looks very good, I used to use Thermaltake stuff.. Once the case side is on it will be a lot quieter..
Think I will stay with my DC LT720 though..
cheers V
Picked up my accessories kit for my define r5 case today! It took 17 days to arrive!
Nice. Enjoy!
Picked up my sound blaster ae -5 plus card a few days ago too. That’s a beast of a sound card!
does it sound good?
Yep 👍
You should do a review of sound cards 🃏
Mike, are these using an Asutek core? (Gen 8?) - had a quick google and couldn't find any info. The two benefits I can see from these are those new fans - they are an improvement over the old ones with better airflow and less noise, and the fact that these are one of the better priced ranges on the market - just checked Scan and this was only beaten by the two Arctic LF III 280 models for price. Certainly way better value for money than most others on the market. They also look very clean.
i honestly don't know what pump is used, i will ask TT UK and see if that is a known thing, I am reasonably sure that it is a licensed design custom built by TT, but that could be incorrect.
Hi Mike, how would the temperatures and sound levels be if this were the 420 AIO. Please make another video. For us, Big Boys. Those new to PCs and gaming need to know what the letters on an Intel CPU stand for. There is a price difference.
thwe extra thermal mass of the radiator and the larger airflow from more fans would be a biog increase in thermal capacity, but only if you have a case that can handle a 420 rad, not many do.
@@mikesunboxing Thanks you for your reply. Anyone desiring to use a large radiator must ensure the case can accommodate the radiator. Most if not all of the case manufactures indicate the size of radiators which the case accommodates.
I'm still running EK 280mm, unsure whether I should change to this or not. LOL
Well the EK name has been severely tarnished so I don’t blame anyone for wanting to disassociate themselves.
If you have the money and desire it is a really good choice 👍
@@mikesunboxing I might as well have to build a brand new AM5 system while at it. Currently running AM4 system at the moment.
Is there a 240mm version?
yes lots of sizes available
You can keep your water 💦 cooled fannies Mike! They don’t float my boat 🚤
Still waiting for my other computer part to arrive from the east of Australia 🇦🇺 I bought it at the same time as the define r5 case accessories kit! It should already be here, how stupid is that?
I’m not interested in water 💦 cooling radiators Mike! ⚡️
