@@sradman750 I'm actually selling this turbo currently. I sent it to ryans diesel and had it fully rebuilt and a polished cover put on. It's got a brand new center section and I never installed it since I decided to go compound. But the 66mm will easily get you to 600hp with good tuning and the fuel to support it.
Lag was practically no different than stock. Maybe a hair slower to light, but a lot of that is in tuning. A good tune will let it spool just like stock for the most part.
The 6.6 is the only engine that has not changed the block in 23 years for the reason that it worked. The Cummins had to build a bigger engine to compete with the larger 6.6. As for Fords I think we all know that story. 5 diesels in 20 years is real bad and class action suit against the 6.0 motor and then the 6.4 was so bad that the local shops including performance shops will not work on them due to liability.
@@brettrichards666 Are you talking about the Fords and Dodge trucks or the Chevys? As far as I know they all can do the job very well. I was talking about dependability issues. I’m now hearing that Fords 6.7 is having serious issues as well. Ford doesn’t care as long as they make it past that 100,000 mile mark. As far as pulling they all do close to the same. 50 lbs of torque give or take won’t make a difference usually or someone needs a larger truck
@Matt Harris I'm talking about the Isuzu. I also don't like IFS and the cheap interior they get. Both 6.7 powerstrokes and 6.7 cummins are reliable. I do wildland fire fighting and logging, and they use both 6.7s. They get worked hard and have been reliable power houses. The Isuzu, not so much. They can't keep them together. Mainly the front suspension.
Very clean tuning 👌 sounds great.

Nice. Love the zero smoke!
Yup I will only run nice clean tunes.
Nice clean tunes man holy shit
In my opinion a duramax sound is just a powerstroke+Cummins sound
This comment made my brain hurt 🤦🏻♂️
I agree clean sounds amazing how big is ur exhaust thanks in advance

I do still have the truck. But I now run a S480 over stock setup.

What brand turbo? And were you able to keep the factory exhaust break function?
It was a Ryan's Diesel Service turbo. And yup, exhaust brake worked same as it did with thr factory turbo.
No one hate me it sounds like a straight pipe 6.0 power stroke with the turbo. Except it can last more than 2 mins
They are both v8's with vgt turbos they all sound the same to me
Looking to get the same turbo how good is it for towing compared to the 64mm
I never really got a chance to tow heavy with this turbo. But I suspect it would do fine. 64mm might be slightly better for towing purposes though.

A 66mm would work great, especially with the 60% overs, through tuning you'll be able to get the 66mm to light real quick.
I have the 66 as well
Does this turbo let you keep your compression brake and vgt?
Yup. The exhaust brake function still works just as it does with the stock turbo.

At that time just the turbo, 3" downpipe, and high flow intake piping.
