Kate's and Mary's stories with Eddie have so much feels.

Thanks! Glad you liked it! One of the best panels we saw.
    Here's what I used:
    - Olympus E-PM2 micro 4/3 camera
    - Olympus M.zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm F/4-5.6R lens
    - Benro A38FBS2 monopod with flip lock legs
(with the big heavy video head replaced by a simple Giottos MH1004 Mini Ball Head that was just right for the E-PM2)
Also used a lot of time to get in line to get a close seat.
The monopod with flip lock legs (essentially a monopod with mini-tripod at the base) made this video possible. It got the camera above people's heads (and hopefully not obstructing too much for the people behind), and kept it stable.

Is this the FULL PANEL?? Thank youbfor sharing so much! Did you get any other panels from this or other years?

    • @quackytelly
      @quackytelly  Год назад

@@leif1075 Yes, this should be the full panel. I did get other panels for that year and earlier years. (Just a warning that on earlier cons I had used a monopod + camera setup that didn't work very well with focus, hence the comments on my DS9 panel video from 2013.) Sadly have not made it back to DragonCon since 2014. :(

Wow, Hogan looks younger than he did when the show started...

This was about 5 years after they wrapped BSG. Now it's 2021, seven years have flown by since this panel, twelve years since the show wrapped & four years since Richard passed. I thank Richard for keeping the torch lit in all of the 1990s to try to continue the original BSG. There would have been no reimagined BSG in 2003 for it was the Butterfly Effect sequence of events beginning with Richard's crusade that eventually made it happen. Now there are newer rumors of an upcoming BSG film, for streaming, but the info is sketchy & I haven't been keeping up.

I have just finished watching the show.I cannot believe i totally ignored it so far.I actually thought it was...just good. But it wasn't.It was brilliant. It was very, very good. And very emotional as well. The ending..the ending was so sad and beautiful.I was actually so bonded with those characters, that i almost cried.I have only beeing affected this way by firefly..and even better than that,i'm afraid..

Λαυρέντιος Ψαροκάηκας I just watched the whole thing again, probably for the sixth time since its release, and I always get so sad during the final episodes. There's so much loss: Bill Adama has to lose the love of his life, Laura Roslin, and Galactica, Kara Thrace has to lose Samuel Anders, Lee Adama has to lose his father and Kara Thrace. Then, just in case you weren't blubbing like a child, they all separate, never to see each other again. The only satisfying event is that Galen Tyrol strangles the fuck out of that bitch Tory Foster.

Valelacerte Yes,but why couldn't they use the baby's blood to remove her cancer, once again? The script was brilliant and beautiful at the same time, but there were some serious holes in it.Kara, was amazing and Samuel..in the end,he got what he wanted the most,but..sad.So sad.Lee,well he got the worst. As you said,he lost his father and his girlfriend, his wife who commited suicide and in the end..I never thought i would say this, but loneliness is indeed the worst thing that can hapen to you.Bill, was astonishing, what a great and underrated actor Olmos is.Despite their great love for another, they became so damaged,so broken that they couldn't stand their loved one's presence, which will remind them what they lost. So,they allianated themselves..into oblivion.Dead within but still alive,to suffer beautiful memories.

Λαυρέντιος Ψαροκάηκας Yes, I wondered why they couldn't save Roslin a second time, but then it was never explained whether her cancer returned because she had built up an immunity to Cylon blood, or the blood had been _used up_, as it were.
Yes, some might say that the writers strike during this show may have played a part in hastily constructed plots.
Olmos is a very commanding presence; perfect for the part and a kind of father to the rest of the cast.
_"Despite their great love for another, they became so damaged,so broken that they couldn't stand their loved one's presence, which will remind them what they lost. So,they allianated themselves..into oblivion.Dead within but still alive,to suffer beautiful memories."_
Very nicely put; I hadn't thought of it like that.

+Λαυρέντιος Ψαροκάηκας +Valelacerte The reason they couldn't use Hera's blood for a second time was that initially it was supposed to be stem cells, but they decided the cut the description of how it works and just say it's the blood to save on time and bogging people down with big explanations

One of the best series I've ever seen, has surpassed Star Trek, many episodes of Galactica overcame many Trek, as it parallels our present day, having religion, philosophy, technology, advanced intellect of humanity overcoming evolution when the Cylons begin to attack and drift into space.

Richard asks "how do you cover new territory? How do you come up new actors playing the same roles?" and all I can answer is "five reimaginings of the same handful of superhero characters". How many times do we need to see Batman reimagined? How many times do we need to see Spiderman reimagined? I mean, come up with something NEW already, Hollywood. I know many of you out there enjoy those movies but, to me, it's like seeing the same old dog and pony show with new actors and costumes. It's new people, yes, but it's the same old story line almost every time. Names and faces of villains are changed, yes, but the *story* isn't. I say let BSG go already. Sure, it could probably be "better" but I doubt it.

Ugh, these people and their religion, those were the most asked questions *snore*
