Same I wanna get the audiobooks 😂😂😅 and I kept mucking around if I want to get this movie on blu ray or dvd 📀 I have decided blu ray treat myself and waiting go on streaming to show people it was hard choice since the people I leave with only have dvd player but I have a ps5
Gonna watch the movie tomorrow and you got me excited! And I havent read the books. Love your enthusiasm for the story in the book . Will probably pick them up after watchin it on the big screen.
Loved your review about the books. They had the same effect on my kiddos. They were enthralled in the story and got addicted quickly! I have to say, I’m surprised of your opinion on the movie-with respect. I was disappointed to see they wrote out Chit Chat, and the mother bear with her two children. I was sad to hear Brightbill calling Roz by her name the entire film. He always called her “Mama” or “Ma.” I didn’t like how they constantly made motherhood seem like a burden. It was also strange to see Roz and Brightbill in an argument before he left on his first migration. I was excited to see the growing respect from the wild animals… unfortunately it was rushed. I was also looking forward to seeing Brightbill learning how to turn Roz on and off… idk.. sometimes ignorance is bliss.
That's the pits of books vs movies-- Books are ALWAYS better! I was glad they didn't try and recreate the book, instead made a new story that captured the elements of love, friendship, and caring that were in the original. The book will always be better, but I was glad the movie didn't destroy the book I loved!
@@onemanbookclub2585love your prospective. Even though, I was a bit disappointed by the movie leaving behind that fact that Brightbill always saw Roz as his mom. The movie made it seem like they were very very close friend. They also kept hiding their feelings from each other.
Thx for sharing yor opinion about them. I really aprecieate it because I have a gf (she is a English kindergarten teacher) who watched the movie some weeks ago; I wanted to watch it but I didn't and people were talking a lot about it. When I asked her about how was it she told me that she wanted to look for the books. Now I'm here, just bought the 3 book's bundle (In english obviously) for her birthday and I think I'm gonna take my time to read them too; I'm getting excited for it. (I'm sorry if it's difficult to read this, my first lenguage is spanish)
I just watched the movie. While I feel like it was a masterpiece artistically, I did NOT like that they rewrote the story! One of my favorite parts of the book was the interdependence between the animals and Roz. They came to accept her because of her relationship with Brightbill, and she learned from them. As she said in the book, her survival depended on her friends. As a teacher, I've been reading this book to my students. We have had rich conversations about how so many of the characters have helped Roz... most of which were written out of the movie. I think I would have liked the movie more if I had never read the book.
I feel the same way!! 😢 although the movie is lovable, I was sad to see they wrote out Chit Chat, the mother bear and her two children… I mean, it’s too much to mention.
I haven't read the books so I went in going just off the premise. Absolutely adored the movie and it has inspired me to check out the books as well. I hope Dreamworks adapts the other stories because I want to see more of these characters. But reading about them will make do for the time being.
The Wild Robot will sadly be the last in-house animation, which historically means getting worse productions, but maybe Dreamworks will take notice to TWR the same way they did with The Last Wish.
I was really disappointed by The Wild Robot movie. I've read all three books with my class, and they're full of warmth, community, and thoughtful moments. The students laugh, cry, and cheer with every chapter! The movie was loud, changed characters, and lost that quiet, serious tone that made the book so special. It feels hollow to me.
@@onemanbookclub2585not always unfortunately, the short story "The Graveyard shift" by Stephen king was absolutely terrible, I saw the film first, came out in 1990 and I really liked it, it was one of my favorite movies as a kid, so when I got the book that the story was in I expected it to be much better, but it wasn't unfortunately it wasn't as exciting or well thought out story as the film put into it. So thats when I learned it really all depends.
Have never read the books but I absolutely adored the movie. Loved it enough that I now want to check out the books.
Do it!
@@onemanbookclub2585 Just ordered the trilogy box set!
i got the first book because im too tired to get the movie

I still remember when rose said to the animals "I KNOW YOU ALL HAVE INSTINCTS, BUT TO SURVIVE WE MUST BECOME MORE THAN WE WERE PROGRAMMED TO BE" ❤

@@onemanbookclub2585 When it comes to capturing the elements… You’re right about that.
Yeah they made Chitchat kind of dirty…

Agreed.
I like they rewrote the story, gave me 4 unique stories that were all wonderful.
Only gripe with the book series is that Fink doesn’t get more mentions/scenes
They definitely used him differently in the movie than the book!
4:55 No! Continue!

I watched the movie first, fell in love, then read the books and really loved them. The movie is almost perfect.
