Every time a season ends and they remove "current later season extra mechanic(tm)" I've found the game becomes so much staler. Even buddies which are the most boring one.
@@killerkonnat frankly buddies only really got interesting when you got the goofiest luck like sir finley's buddy in a beast or murloc lobby or just apm with that pirate buddy
I agree with what you said in the beginning about the hero powers. Most of the time, in the late game, most hero powers don't matter at all since many just give small stats that would be inconsequential in a fight with minions which have hundreds or thousands of stats. There are some hero powers that are absolutely game-changers in the right comps and situations (such as teron in a beast or undead comp, or in a big demons comp back when the 6-star with stealth was in the game), but there are dozens of possible useless hero powers to roll.
I know a lot of comments are on here and I don't have much time or too many people to talk about the new battlegrounds season with, but overall, how do you feel about the new P2W mechanic that blizzard introduced?
feel like quilboar being the best tribe right now and every other one is struggeling, maybe mechs since they have a very powerful start with tier 2 minions
I was wondering at first why brann mattered with the coast guard because it would just reroll a few times, but then I realized I was dumb because you also get a card each roll haha
I’d have to think that Saloon Dancer would be better than the tour guide given how many Marauder’s Contracts you cycle. But I’m not about to do the math.
To focus gold for pirates the race gets too many freebies. Especially the tire 3 spell pirate and tier 6 knight minion. Even the choose one pirate can help everyone snowballing.
I beg to differ on changing hero powers not changing your placement. Cloning gallery is insane lategame and the 2 times I've gotten it absolutely pushed me into a winning position
Yeah I would agree with you. I had a good quil game yesterday where I gem transferred late game onto 2 warpwings and then pulled voljin in the same turn. It made up for the difference in attack since my gems had way more health. It was awesome and kinda troll lol
I don't know if anyone's been experiencing this as well, but my shops are COMPLETE trash, in the last 10-15 games I've only seen Bran once in the shop and I get the same horrible combat RNG where my backline gets sniped instantly. I'm not sure if I've just been consistently unlucky or if there's some sort of RNG bug.
It’s almost like those units make the most common and synergistic effects in the game trigger an extra time making you twice as powerful and that they are main stays in the game mode. What were you expecting?
Quilboar is still busted and I hate it as a tribe, Naga is pretty cool if you highroll, Pirate seems overtuned with brann, Undead is still pretty weak and too reliant on catacomb crasher, Beast has beetles but gets pretty quickly surpassed by other comps and Dragons now only exist with Kali as engine basically
You have to hit quills early or you're just cooked. Mechs and pirates can somewhat compete but nothing can beat a quill highroll except maybr for a very sweaty apm pirate gamer that hit everything.
I feel like despite the balance the patch can be fun. The thing is the "can". If your shops suck and you don't get early scaling or your relevant minions, you can't keep up with the rest. Trinkets provided a comeback mechanic for when you're truly unlucky with shops. And they added a lot of strategizing divorced from pure board play. The amount of trinkets that either favored tempo when you're behind or greed when you are ahead was well balanced.

Shady, your editor is absolutely amazing compared to the others, pumping out quality content multiple times a day! Kudos to them.
Plus all the extra info like card texts, blood gem power, etc.
@@domda180totally true, wanted to point that out while ago. Its much easier for the casuals to keep up with changes
Players "How do we counter the pirate summon bs?"
The patch "WITH MORE PIRATES!"
Really liking this new BGs Season. Love the direction they went with Pirates and Nagas.
After the removal of trinkets, I’ve found battlegrounds to be quite vanilla

Very much agree, buddies were lame, but I miss quests and trinkets and it's only been out like 3 days
i really feel like buddies had the highest highs and the lowest lows
Thats the point i think

same haha
1:49 i had 600/300 beetles with this
nice
most I got was 230 on attack
0:32 Sometimes in my lobbys thats happening but most of the time its my falt not useing bran to the limit (7k rating on mobile)

after the first day i feel pirates are pretty unplayable unless you just hit everything and still you will probably loose to quilboar
Why did the beetle cost 2?
does anyone know the name of the program he uses to see all the available minions etc?
It’s a deck tracker, either hsreplay or firestone

what if there was a mecha jarrr-axxus, that generates carda that can be magnetized to a mech, demon or pirate?😮
That last shop phase just casually starting with golden Brann into 3 other golden minions. No big deal, move along folks, nothing to see here.

Been having the same in duos
@arthena2130 Meanwhile everyone highrolls quilboars on turn 3 🙄
RNG bug lol what nonsense. A bug would not magically make the game give your opponents better combat
@@mahikannakiham2477 It does if my game is bugged lil bro
While RNG can suck; the idea is to mitigate RNG.
If you look closely when he rolls you can see the third Brann 15:32
i think its a visual bug, there is not any brann in the shop
It’s funny how Shady is already trying to dodge playing beasts 😂😂 I guess it’s not as “action-packed” as some others here classes
You look at the best comps this season and it's all Brann or Titus except for Quillboars.

Battlegrouds without trinkets just isnt near as much fun. Its sad. Trinkets brought so many options.
