True it is that this song transports us to a time "when all was peaceful." Was it ever so? Never mind that, this is beautifully sung with feeling and correct diction (no accent!) by a young woman. A woman born after our worst atrocities got known to the world. Clearly, there is another Lanka, another Anuradhapura, to be resurrected.
Ms Nilaka, truly lovely to hear this full version. I listened to a one minute clip of your song 2 days ago, shared to me by a friend, which was accompanied by beautiful Buddha images and art and was mesmerized by how your voice had blended with the music to create a mystical atmosphere. Then I shared with many Buddhist friends including Sinhalese, Tamils and Chinese and they all loved it. One could close one's eyes and keep listening and appreciating the song. You must do more recordings at this same venue, the accoustics are outstanding and brings out your voice beautifully.
Its a good deed, if the producers of this beautiful master piece also mention about the original creater of the as tribute. I hope it is John De Silva and his team. Please correct if it is wrong.
