MASSIVE!!! ThyssenKrupp Traction Freight Elevator at Nature Research Center in Downtown Raleigh, NC.

Video Recorded on July 22, 2022: OHHH....MY....GOSH!!!!!! This elevator is INCREDIBLY HOUMONGOUS!!!!!!! And what's even better? They even allow the public to ride this as well! Anyway, this elevator holds an 18,000 pounds capacity. You can definitely see, the height of the doorframe is more taller and the width is more wider on this elevator than the regular elevators. I think this elevator definitely beats Fetzer Hall of UNC in Chapel Hill. Definitely the most biggest elevator in the Carolinas I have ever seen before! Also, listen to that motor starting up. Sounds epic too! Even this whole entire elevator cab is epic as well also! Installed in 2011.

Thyssenkrupp elevators are truly gems. They function exceptionally well. (Speaking from my experience)

First, I thought this elevator was hydraulic until I read the title, ha ha! I like that epic motor! This elevator is the size of a bedroom I would say. I’ve ridden a scenic Thyssenkrupp traction about this size. (Same fixtures and everything, but no rear door.) At the Edward Hospital South Parking Garage in Naperville, Illinois.

This might be huge, but I believe the freight/service at the History Center in Pittsburgh for sure beats this. That 1's also a thyssenkrupp but w/ a 24,000 lb. capacity, serves more floors (6 floors), & is hydro w/ 2 pistons & 3 pumps!

The fixtures on the back got replaced. When I filmed this elevator back in March. The fixtures on the back were still traditional and 2 buttons were missing.
