I was told it’s typically not complicated with more story, characters and content later so hopefully that includes bigger map, bugs fixes and most importantly NG+
my only problem with this game will be always the lack of models. for no fans is ok, but fans of the anime and manga will notice there are MANY characters missing, like.. a lot of them.
This was a big complaint of mine with the first game- sad to hear it's the same here. It was especially ludicrous to try and cover the Grand Magic Games arc if the development boundaries were going to be so constricting lol. Definitely would have rather seen something like a non-canon game story that might have been more polished but better fit within what the studio had available to work with.
I love how their issues with the story are basically not the game's fault but that their pretty consistent with the actual story...most fans didn't like the rushed pacing and lack of depth/gravetos of the final arc and their resolutions of built up character interactions. Seems like he is improving on 100 years thought so a sequel game might be better story wise. Gotta love the authors gusto. B level in using old tropes and story beats, but keeps cooking to try one day be JJK and One piece level popular lol.
Enjoyed the first game well enough for what it was, but I wished I had waited for a sale. Definitely didn't feel as polished as Gust's usual games (story pacing/presentation especially). FT1 coming right off the heels of Ryza 1 especially felt half baked lol. Will probably pick this at some point but will be waiting for a sale this time around.
I liked the first Fairy Tail game since it showed off the story and characters from a lighthearted yet serious angle. I then watched the anime which I hated because IT is full of those moments I despise where something serious happens which is then immediately followed up by a joke that ruins the moment. I want serious moments to have time to sink in and breathe.
i feel like if they keep with the progressions the next game should at the very least include a multiplayer arena fighter i know we have gotten a lot of em but we donnt have one for ft so itd be nice

Right? So many insist the English dubs "fail to capture the spirit of the original dialogue." But all I end up hearing is a bunch of Japanese women gasping and screeching when I try going the Sub route. Give me an English Dub any day.

The day 1 dlc scared me away from getting it day 1. Might get it if the priceever goes for 25 or under physical.
