I’ve never played with any other players in a Huntathon prior to this update and ever since the update I find ppl joining my Huntathons like 3/4 of the time so they absolutely made some awesome changes

This was exactly the functionality I said I'd hope Niantic would add in one of your earlier videos and I'm so happy they did. Now I'm even happier playing the game! Just a shame they only need to fix monetization and stop trying to charge me for wanting to play more of the game.
Craftable potions and a training mode would make things perfect for me. Online HATS and selling mats for zenny is already the right direction to go in.
This is a step in the RIGHT direction!!!

I used this feature earlier tonight and the shot of Serotonin I got from hunting with others so easily was INSANE. I can attempt 6* Hunt-A-Thons now and I am so thankful for that 🤘
It certainly was pleasant surprise running into Carcamo.
Next improvement I would suggest to them is inviting friends from your friends list to the HaT lobby

It bothers me. Only because I see a lot of HR10-20 in 8-9Star Zinogre. While its nice to carry from time to time and love seeing new players . HAT's have a 3hr cooldown and if I fail a 8-9Star Zino when its highly possible to beat at this point. You're selling you self short and your get the shit end of the stick by having to wait 3hr for another round of possibly failing again due to low HR players.
It definitely needs some extra work. I don’t think hiding MHrank solves the issue either, if suddenly a 6 or 7 plus HAT for probably Zinogre gets filled with lower rank hunters. I’d say that it’s actually more unfair to those hunters who are lower rank not being able to know who they’re pairing with, since higher rank hunters probably would mean their standing a better chance assuming that they likely have better gear.
Maybe treating different ranked HATS like sub-groups that emulate low(5 star monsters), high(6 and 7 star monsters), and master/g-rank (8 and above star) lobbies for online play would be a better approach to pairing, since those different monster ranks correlate to different tiers in drop rewards.
what I think it should do is filter based on how far u got in urgent quests
You can have more than one hunt on a monster if you fail.
You can just retry it yes? Or maybe just when you host? Cause even time ran out and it still lets me try again if I die

Generally speaking I like it that each of Niantic's games does things differently, but this is so much better than Niantic's remote raid system.
The BEST update so far and is not even finished being implemented.

My son and I will offset join (one waits outside the hunt) and we can usually get 3-4 of the HATs together if one of us joins after the extension starts. It's a bit silly, but we're also just enjoying the new HAT mechanics, even if we can't join up together.
As a new player. Started playing 5 days ago. Big big big help for me clearing high stars hunt with high level players carryung my hunts. Love to all players who likes to carry starters.
Niantic Headquarters in the good old U S of A is in charge of development for Pokemon Go, and as such, exhibits incredible arrogance in their decisions. Niantic's Japan office is in charge of development for Monster Hunter and works very closely with Capcom, hence actually listening to their player base and trying to fix bugs quickly. Never did I think that 2 branches of the same company could operate on 2 total opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to listening to their player base and actually trying to make their games better.
That's what I thought, but I don't think Niantic Japan reached out to me for sponsorship back in DEC so there must be SOME american input. But yeah, it's crazy.
@@HuntersNotez Niantic North America still handles the business stuff, hence the monetization everyone hates. They would also be the people reaching out to content creators for sponsorship I would assume. But as far as game development goes, they handed that completely over to the Japanese office. They said so in interviews early on after they announced the game. Also you'll notice all announcements on the community boards are in Japanese first, then English. If NA headquarters was in charge, I don't think that would be the case.
@@HuntersNotez Let me also say that I'm not trying to argue with you for the sake of arguing. Niantic Headquarters decisions basically drove me from Pokemon Go, a game a truly loved. They are obviously still up to the same tomfoolery, but since Pokemon is literally the most lucrative franchise in the world, they get away with it. Just throw a new shiny at the players and they will keep taking the abuse and not stand up for themselves. How more people aren't playing this game, whose developers seem to truly care about their fanbase, I'll never get.

There really is very clearly a difference in culture and business between eastern developers and western developers.
Yes sir great update and glad they are doing something we as the players really need to boost activity in areas that aren’t super populated like Japan. Consistency in this game is definitely needed
I played so many online games before, I played with random people most of the time, so online multiplayer sounds like a NORMAL thing to me. But when this happened to Monster Hunter Now, I don't know man, but it does bring tears of joy for me. I'm super super excited to know that I won't be soloing Zin anymore. I'm super excited that I can start implementing my theoretical support builds. And your video just now really resonates to me. So thank you Zak and thank you Niantic for making it possible. The joy of this is that it only needs to match the one monster you are up against. Each separate battle is dealt with as needed.
This is good news, I quit months ago because I couldnt find a single other player and the 6 stars were getting really tedious to kill alone.
The update is amazing and absolutely the best thing we have gotten and i love it, but i think you misunderstood people's complaints with "carrying low ranks". The issue isnt carrying them, i LOVE killing 8* zinogres for lower players. The issue is this:
I can personally solo the 8* zinogre with my g10 ice sns, but in 9* zinogre if you factor in the bad moveset in multiplayer + the extra lag, it becomes literally impossible to win without 2-3 other people who are at the same weapon grade as me. I would love to carry a bunch of people through 9* but it has so much HP that whenever 2 people who were HR 50 joined, it was just impossible and a waste to everyones time...
There 100% needs to be some reasonable limitation to matchmaking, such as "have reached 8* story to join 8* HaT" or anything like that.
The problem was the 9* zinogre in the event, massive amount of people who would just not be enough to defeat it were joining nonstop, doing 9 stars was a hassle and very annoying throughout the event..
Definitely a step in the right direction for Niantic I'm glad they finally expanded the range on HATS. I do wish you can party with maybe 1 other and have an expanded radius though.

It’s probably a challenge to code on the backend to keep the HAT local party intact while also searching for external players, but I can see it being added in the future.
I also don’t really see too much of a problem playing with low rank hunters as the HATs don’t scale due to hunter number so even if they are doing very little damage at least it is better than hunting solo and you can just retry with new people after if it fails.
I get the feeling that Capcom is highly involved with the development of MHN whereas Ninatic is kinda on their own with PoGo. This is such a massive W for MHN.
Actually just got back home from hunting. Was able to nearly upgrade my Azure Helm to G6 and working on my Pink Chest too.
I live in a rural area and just yesterday it happened. I was shocked because it's late at night and I don't see anyone around 😂

This is definitely a great change and makes me wonder if this will one day happen for normal hunts out in the field. Just imagine being able to connect with strangers/friends who are standing near the same 8*+ monster somewhere else in the world.
I am okay with removing the HR in Lobby, but I don't want to "Carry" a random HR14 hunter in a 9* zinogre HAT. That is a waste of time and effort.

Players shouldn't be allowed to enter HaT with a star level they haven't conquered yet.
Yessss, this is a definite W. I'd struggle with 8* Zinorge without help. Imma flex some muscles and carry as much as I can!

Love this new update. Not a fan or low rank hunters being able to join some of these hunts especially on 9 star zinny but an amazing experience non the less I hope they do more of.

finally completed the 5 Zinogre HAT with a full lobby. 20 seconds for 8*/9* zinogre is definitely a W.

Personally I like it when a low level player joins in a HaT. It’s great knowing that we are helping others power up.
I don't agree with your interpretation of not wanting to hunt with lower level players. If I'm in a low-level lobby, it's not such a problem, but if I'm facing 8-9* zinogre, and I'm in a lobby with three people with a rank under 50, I know they don't have the weapons to finish. And then there are the low level players who refuse to use any potions, so they're either just dodging the whole time and not doing any damage or they're KO and not reviving to keep fighting. We've put in a lot of work to get to our level, and so should they. 9* isn't for someone who's rank 20 and who therefore has probably only started that morning. Niantic has to fix this so that similar level players can fight together against monsters they deserve to fight.
I agree that they should add a star cap for HR because that's what HR is literally for in the main games: To show the work you put in and the skill you have to qualify you to do harder quests.
However, I don't like to be a wah wah baby haha. Fight hard or re-roll the lobby. Don't join 9* HATs unless you have time to back out and re-roll if you have lower players.
@@HuntersNotez Exactly. I haven't seen players complain, personally. But I will re-roll if I'm in a high-level lobby with players under rank 100. I don't think we higher level players (and I'm *not* an expert player by any means) should be short-shrifted and then have players literally days into the game get R6 pieces they haven't worked hard for. It would make the game a farce. And the promise of removing the rank will just make people pissed off.
(That said, I would definitely help players out if they are known personally to me, just at the right level. I'm currently helping a friend out who desperately needs R5 pieces to improve his weapons)

Does anyone know if this feature was previously on Pokémon go? Asking cuz if they have and now it doesn’t then it might mean the same for MHN. But I really do hope they keep it permanently
They had remote raids and revoked it mostly. But that was mainly covid related so I feel like this will be more permanent since it's not motivated by anything other than player feedback.

@@acidraindrops1 If I have to be honest it’s just the straw that broke the camels back for me. I mean, all of the relatively steep prices for items and events, wether it’s remote raid passes that typically have a daily limit or exclusive Pokemon that are behind something like a 7 dollar pay wall amount to diminishing returns at best. Even then the gacha mechanics of the game might mean you get poor IV’s, or an escaping Pokemon; all despite going through the trouble of paying in cash.
To top all that off, where did all that cash get invested into? A terribly revamped avatar system. Sarcastic kudos to PoGo’s consolation firm and also their feedback manager on social media. But I’ll gladly put money towards the Japanese devs with MHN. They deserve it for being great with feedback so far. This type of response within Capcom to the players is also giving me some hope for Monster Hunter Wilds. Otherwise AAA studios similar to the worst of mobile studios typically have no good credibility within modern day game development.
How do you get to join a HAT someone is recruiting for? Just says join hunt? Do you have to be next to another HAT?
Yeah, It's HAT to HAT remote hunting. You have to be touching a node.

The "carry argument" is useless on anything below 9 🌟, like no you shouldnt enter a 9 star zino hoping the matchmaker will put you togheter with 3 more people who could solo, tl;dr if you cant solo dont complain about carrying, any dmg helps😊

I agree with this since I play with my wife and others around town and it would be nice to fill the empty spots.
@HuntersNotez so after playing a bit today, it does seem possible to play with this and someone at the same hunt-a-thon. I'm not exactly sure how it works, but during our second round, we somehow got another person in our party. I'm guessing my fiancée joined just as they did. I wasn't able to reproduce it, but it's possible. We were not in a party when this happened.
I can't imagine being so pitiful that some one would refuse helping a lower rank jist because they can't put up dps.

Game is dead since the anti spoof update. The Playerbase like lost 90% of its players since that update. now its kinda hard to hunt alone man
I'm having completely the opposite experience hahaha. I'm even playing with randos I find that are at the same park or grocery store as me without even seeing them not even in HATs.
