The 3DO had a pretty niche but solid library. Infamous stinkers like Plumbers Don’t Wear ties but also high quality ports and original games like D, the original version of Gex (it has a save feature on 3DO), the closest port of SSF2T until the Saturn and PlayStation releases in 1997, and Alone in the Dark.
@@theobserver4214 If I am being honest, which I am, the 3DO's library of games is all over the place from a quality perspective. For every solid, or genuinely good game, there's a piece of trash; for example, the port of Wolfenstein 3D vs the port of Doom. And like you said, that's just focusing on actual games not the glut of soft-corn porn games and educational shovelware and the like.
@@aliabdelhameed1584 Yeah. The shovelware problem really affects a lot of great consoles, part of its reasoning on the 3DO was because the 3DO Company had very lax rules on what could go on the system.
@@theobserver4214 the 3DOs version of ssf2t was even better than the playstations version since the ps version used emulation and it had some trouble, while the 3DO ran the game natively.

best Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo (X) Soundtrack. The Dreamcast Version was 1:1 Arcade Sound. And all other new version for the Collection Edition too. Thats the reason why you should hold your 3DO :)
If someone told me that Capcom came up with this version first and had to work backwards and downgrade the track to fit CPS-1 and CPS-2, I would believe it.
So did the 3DO have its own sound chip? Like is this being processed by the console? it's not CD audio? No wonder it sounds so damn good. It's literally unique to the 3D0 itself. Wow.
I don't like this version at all. While it sounds much cleaner, it also sounds much sweeter and it lacks the grit of the original arcade CPS2 version. And tempo is slower too. What gives?
Jumaliste... Before today, I did not even know about the existence of this version. Arcade machines' CPS 2 version has always been my favourite version of Ken's theme but no longer... From here on, THIS is the best version Ken's theme that has ever been released in a Street Fighter game! Thank you for uploading this, CaptainGordonVGM.
To this day, the 3DO had the best SSFII Turbo OST. Even the re-releases were not as clean!
You referring to HSF2's "Arrange" soundtrack when you say "re-release"?
It's not the best pc version has that title still.
@MacHappy but i miss something in the HD Remix Soundtrack. The 3do soundtrack still has burnt into my brain.
@@SolidSonicTH The Hyper SF2 Soundtrack Arrange (PS2) sounds 1:1 to the 3do version - imo. Please correct me if I am wrong.
@morningstar2k1 correct. But this is not the PS2 Version. Here it is:

Capcom must’ve really freaking love the 3DO’s hardware, considering Street Fighter 2 is near perfect on the machine and the OST is just so good!
Megaman X3 also almost came out to the 3DO.
i mean for 700 bucks its gotta be at least arcade quality
This could’ve been Capcom’s NeoGeo
The best and definitive version of Ken's Theme
The 3DO might've been one of the worst consoles ever when it comes to games, but in the soundtrack department it was second to none.

Não tem uma música que seja ruim, todas elas tiveram cuidadosamente os arranjos muito bem trabalhados.
never heard this version before, it's probably the best one!
This may have came out in '94 but this is one of the most 80s soundtracks I have ever heard. The orchestral hits complement the synthesizer perfectly.

Not really. This same soundtrack is on Capcom Generations 5 for PS1 and Saturn, as an unlockable. It even changes the sound effects.
@@SEGARetroBR Is it in the other Street Fighter collection with the CPS2 SF2s? Generation 5 only has the SF2 CPS1 versions
A great workout song out of all the other ones

wow the music sounds great on 3DO!
This should be the US National Anthem!!!!

EXCELLENT!

Fun Fact! This song was re-used in Street Fighter Duel by Capcom and Crunchyroll.
And it was also reused years earlier in Onimusha Dawn of Dreams.

I somewhat like the 3Do version of SF2 these but they are too slow. They sound a lot better if you set the speed to 1.1-1.2
스트리트파이터 켄 버전중에 가장 잘만든 음악!!!
The 3DO SF2 sound team seemed to love the Sitar Lol
This version shouts T-Square so hard!
This is super clean, but it’s missing some elements that the CPS2 version has.

It's actually the OST from the FM Towns Marty's port of Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers
It’s CD Audio
