I lost my Mother twenty years ago. You never get over it. Never. I'm sure Steve's mother was proud of him before she passed and proud of him on the other side. I hope mine is too.

This is a true testament of how you learn to be a man. She once told me "Jason I am a woman I don't know how to be a man. I can only tell you what I hope your father could to be a man. That made me cry. I know how hard it is to loss a parent. In April it was a year that I lost my dad to cancer and in November I almost lost my Mom to a stroke. But thank the good Lord she's still with us.

The young men at my church would sing the theme song from the movie "Soul Food" for Mother's Day and I could not take it.
