  • This is a video of Nancy, a certified instructor, doing the first section of the long form. We would like to show videos of our style (International Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan Association) so people can see its qualities.

    A beautiful example of form and motion. I’ve seen examples of Yang Family Tai Chi before, never so perfectly performed. Turn the sound off and focus on skill of what you are viewing. Very relaxing. Thank you Nancy.

    Just started Yang Tai Chi classical style part one - I reviewed many You Tubes on "this style." This is one of the few that is exactly the same way our sifu teaches us. Thank you, Nancy. You were great. This is exactly what I have been seeking.

      It's true! I have looked all over the place on youtube for the yang style that resembles what I am being taught. I wonder if there are many different dialects of the yang style itself. This video is saving my life because I tend to forget a lot of subtlety and connections between each move when I am at home practicing and trying to remember what I've been taught in class...this video is saving me a lot of time and allows me to better prepare for my classes.

      hey do you know where I can find each motion explained step by step? its been a while since ive taken classes and the video goes to fast for me to keep up and the mirror affect really throws me off. i think one step at a time would help me a lot

      Yang Chengfu's book has photographs that may help you. www.amazon.com/Essence-Applications-Taijiquan-Yang-Chengfu/dp/1556435452 Regardless, it is a good read if your practicing Yang style.

      Thank you for showing me the form in such a beautiful way! It is similar to how my Sufi here in Ohio teaches.

    Through injury I haven't been able to do the full set for a while. Thank you Nancy for helping me make sure I remember these moves. I now do them sitting down.

    Ward-off Left and Ward-off Right differ that way. In Ward-off Right, the opponent is in front of you. In Ward-off Left, when he punches you would step a little left and attack sort of diagonally.

    Very well done. I practice Huang TaiChi. From Chen Man Ching. Very athletic. So I will use your beautiful movement with my older students.

      Why do you say ZMC style is very athletic ? I had seen how ZMC played..

    • @Taichistretchingspace3479
      @Taichistretchingspace3479 4 года назад

      @@peacebe2u480 ZMC style turns the waist and foot together - followed by a downward pressure then forward to send energy to the waist where the centre pressure builds in the DANTIEN - and then released as a feeling of warmth and fullness into the chest and finally a filling of the hands for the issue or push.....then begin again ... very athletic ..... the back foot never slips the heel... thankyou

    Good Morning! I am new to the Tai Chi Yang Family Style. I've been following Nancy's videos with calling for each section; however, is there a video WITH CALLING for the ENTIRE Tai Chi form? I'm looking forward to hearing from someone. Thank You!!!

    Very good, but I would like to ask - the first 'ward-off' movement: why do you advance side-ways? Surely, common sense should suggest that you should advance with the body facing forward, rather than at a 90 degree angle?

    • @ShredST
      @ShredST 16 дней назад

      That's how the Yang family style does it. The first ward off is about advancing up the opponent's side, and the second ward off is about advancing up the opponent's front
