You guys are amazing. Thanks for challenging yourselves to show us it can be done. We have only three days but I think we’ll be able to fit in the highlights!
My cousin and I did Madrid in a day literally a day after our tour with you. In all fairness we did stay overnight and went back the next morning. I would recommend a walking tour like yours in Madrid. You'll get a great experience and hit many of the sites you highlighted. Prado was amazing and the Palace. I would add a flamingo show if you have time. We ended up flying because RT flights were ~20-25 euros/each at the time (2019) even with transportation to airport it was cheaper than the train. You need the earliest flight possible to ensure you have sufficient time in Madrid and is about same time as train - 1 hour in airport and about 60min flight.
Thanks for sharing! Staying over night would really open up some other options compared to just 12 hours and would definitely be less taxing. If you do a tour, you would definitely see a lot of these places as well. If you can get the cheap train I think it’s a little easier transportation wise and allows you to sleep a little more. Was hoping to do so on the train there, but we weren’t able to. Glad you had a good experience!
Hey Patrick thanks for sharing. I felt tired after watching this video. Like both of you mentioned, it's possible but not recommended :) You covered a lot of areas in less than 12 hours. Kudos
Hey Luis! We were exhausted the next day, but had so much fun. I think that might be the biggest take away. It os doable and a great time, but the next day I you will need to relax
I'm hoping to hold aside one day for Madrid, but ONLY for Prado visit. My travels are more enjoyable when I don't try to pack too much into the day. I get lucky when I leave room for serendipity. LOVE your videos, Patrick
Happy to hear you'll be here soon! Doesn't look like much is changing at the moment. Numbers are much better than this summer. let's hope it stays this way.

You’re welcome! It was a lot of fun, and the only way to see how it would be. If you have 3 days you have plenty of time to see them and more!

Wow! Hecho de memos Madrid! I’m glad to say that I’ll be seeing Spain very soon. I’m hoping that the protocols haven’t changed or will change.

Are there other cities that you would recommend as day trips from Barcelona?
Of course, Girona, Tarragona, I’ve got a whole playlist about different places. Zaragoza could be done too
What train company did you take?
We took Ouigo. But check out the Omio link in the description to compre prices amongst the different options
