Hi Guys, I took a welding class "Continuing Adult Education" at my old high school while being laid off from work. What the heck, another skill that someone cannot take away from you. I ended up getting a vertical up certification !! That was about 25 years ago. I have since retired recently and have decided to pick up where I left off. I would love to learn tig welding. This YES welder seams like it could be the ticket for me. Quality at a reasonable price point. I could really use a welder like this one. THANKS for your video. I really enjoyed it and am excited to learn more welding skills !!!!
I practiced my 6g schedule 10 coupons with this machine, tig root and 7018 fill and cap. Worked beautifully and banged out like 10 coupons in a short time.
I always wanted this machine . But I wondered if it had pulse to help me with thin me metal. You answered a lot of questions. I always wanted a t.i.g machine but never could afford one. The prime weld is the one I was trying to buy. But as you said the price is very high. I didn't realize the Yes welders were so good. Thank you for your time Bob MacKenzie .
This is a great product. I have had mine for awhile now as a garage hobby welder. At my work I have a really nice miller that is water cooled. Would not recommend this product if you are looking to weld for long periods of time. It will over heat and start warping the nozzle, but if you are looking to get into welding or are welding here and there parts for a garage or shop this would be option instead of paying 8k for a water cooled system. Hope this helps anyone looking to get into the industry.
I have a small mig but need more power and love tig. I only have a couple of projects to use it on but with pass it on to one of my ten grandchildren with nice story how it came to be. Loved the review.
I’ve had the 205 amp stick welder for almost a year, welds smooth, I still can’t believe it for such a small machine! I have yet to come up against the duty cycle. Now you’ve got me looking for excuses to get the tig machine, Thanks
Hi! Well I've been welding with a stick welder for almost a year now, building a fence for my grandparents. Although the learning curve has been very steep I'm getting the hang of it and since I've also had experience soldering (which requires two hands loke TIG welding) I've been thinking of upgeading to TIG welding so I can work with aluminium and also not havig to deal with constantly cleaning up slag every damn time I start a new bead. The only issue is that at the moment I can't afford a machine right now. So that's the main reason I'm applying here right now. I really hope I get to win it.
I'm 70 retired worked on cars my whole life STILL AM hot rods and bikes. On a fixed income so there's not a lot of extra money . I have tig welded in the past but don't own one . Would love it to make the quality of my work better. THANK YOU.
I just moved off-grid and that welder would come in handy. I have a project in mind that I'm itching to do. I want to build a ground mount out of well piping for my solar array.
I have been trying to set up my shop for 20 years now I managed to get torches, mug welder and cheep plasma cutter. The only thing I'm still missing is a tig just not in the budget. Thanks
Just trying to advance my career in the fabrication field, I self taught myself MIG and I have been wanting to try TIG and learn the basics and get a hang of it, I would just need a welder to do so
Note: There is no need to use the thread sealing tape. Inside the same bag that contains the manual and thread tape you will find two o-rings - carefully seat one of the o-rings inside the machine argon inlet fitting. YesWelder uses a square flange fitting and the o-ring provides the sealing surface. Anyways - congratulations in advance to the lucky winner!
Oh man, I've been trying to find an answer to this situation, thanks. I noticed an air leak, and using a flashlight saw the inside of the YesWelder gas fitting for some reason is flat instead of concave. Why did they do that?! The problem now - I can't find the o-rings. Don't recall ever seeing them. I'm kind of "hosed" now. :( Edit: Good news, I found the two O-rings in a bag that came with the welder.
You're right and wrong IMO. Those orings will seal....for a while but the crap rubber they make them out of gets brittle and cracks in months, not years. Hence he tape is needed IMO.
I’ve always wanted to start welding but have yet found the capitol because I also woodwork. It would be amazing to build my welding skills along with woodworking. Many possibilities
What a wonderful little welder and a very manageable size. It looks like it would be very easy to use for the young kids that come by for help on their project.
The YESWELD TIG 205DS is exactly what I need to advance my skills from basic MIG welding to learning TIG welding in preparation for several fabrication projects I have planned (such as building a boat radar arch). Would love to drive on over to pick her up from you. Thanks for the opportunity!
Nice looks like a good machine I’m working on my 1976 Dodge dart my dream car live in New York have no garage trying to get it done on the street lots of nosy neighbor but it is what it is I need to weld lots of parts that machine would help a lot hope you see it in your heart ♥️ to to look my way Thank you keep up the good work
Good job 👍 Can you do a vid on a Yeswelder P250 How set up and adjust for TIG welding via foot pedal and trigger. Open machine for inspection. Setting for: 1/4” aluminum 1/8” CS or SS 1/4” CS SMAW I bought a new P250 but cannot get the TIG touch to initiate start amps or start argon flow. Low Amp HF initiation arc only. Does Yeswelder have local shop on service that I can bring my machine to for route cause analysis of service tech that will come to my shop to repair my new machine?
I enjoyed your video, very informative. I like would to have one of these machines to learn on. I mig and stick weld mostly on automotive projects. Most projects are 22 gauge to 1/8" material .
Congratulations on 30 K. Another great video review. Just setting up my tiny one bay shop, bought a cheap flux core to start. This would be a great addition. Keep up the great content.
I have started a small metal sign business and need a tig to weld on all the small brackets to hang the signs on the wall. I have a mig but sometimes it’s hard to be delicate. Would love to get in to some fabrication and start a RUclips channel with my own projects. Enjoy watching all your projects.
Hello! I've been looking to get into welding for a while now. While I've watched countless videos and tutorials, I've never actually welded because I don't have the equipment. Winning your YesWelder would allow me to finally get hands-on experience. Thanks for the chance!
I love your simplistic approach with your welding setups. I have been researching which welder to purchase as I have just started a rolloff dumpster business. I already have repairs and improvements with trailers and dumpsters. Could really use this welder!

Thank for the review - very insightful. I started my welding journey with a Harbor Freight flux welder and moved a couple of years back to a second hand red buzz box from Lincoln. I feel I am ready for the next stage of my journey - using gas and tig welding. Hoping to convert an old car into a hot rod and use the Tig for welding the body and frame....
Can you tell me why in the first weld you did, your amps were at 164, then when you did the 2nd example, it was down to 128 etc...the reason I ask is..I just bought one of these used and in TIG mode on mine it maxed out at 133amps.
I want to try the primeweld 225 so hopefully soon. The Yeswelder Arc Pro 165DS didn't make any decent looking welds unless I used 6013 electrodes. 6010 and 6011 were just huge blobs and the 7018 was a bit decent but not great. 220v does seem to work better on my machine over 110v but I passed on the 165. Cool video.
i have this model. the post flow is pretty much nothing. my tungsten is BLACK after making a single tac weld. I swapped out for a torch with a valve on it, turn on my gas manually, the problem VANISHED. i WISH this unit would allow you to adjust the pre and post flow.
I'm graduate advanced welding this May and just learned how to Tig weld and njoy it very much. And winning this welder would make me better than what I am bcuz I luv welding
My son is turning 16 soon and has been talking about starting a project car. We were just talking a couple days ago about the need for a welder for his projects. This would be great!
I could really use it I just moved into a new place and my ex-wife got everything so I'm in need for a new little welder to get started welding again and start a project and concentrate on my self
I make stuff. And a tig would make it so much easier. Currently welding with a cheap toaster stick welder, which is great, but tig would open a whole a lot more doors. Always wanted one but cannot really justify the cost.
Hi how's it going i own 2 old vws one is a bus the other is a super beetle they both r in need for flo9r pans this would be great. I also have a plow truck.would l9ve tomdo.welding repairs myself.and save some money thank you
I could use that TIG right now for a stainless gas tank I just started building. Been holding off as I only have MIG and really want to TIG it. Thank you for the chance I subscribed to your FB page.
Hi had to sell all my welders when I was moving to my new home. Was looking at this welder it looks like a good machine for a novice like myself and I would like to teach my grandchildren how to use this so we can make projects together. Thanks
I could really use that Yes Welder to fabricate a Quick Hitch compatible suitcase weight carrier and 2" hitch sleeve for my newly purchased Kubota BX2380 Sub Compact tractor.

Probably missed it but still welding is fun I need a tig to be able to weld a roll cage in a race car with that being said I don't have a Facebook or Instagram account. Great review
Congrats on the 30k subs. I'm fixing to start rebuilding an atv, mini bike, and a go cart. I'm going to record my progress with intentions of starting a youtube channel. I was just watching youtube vids on tig welders, because I need and want one. It would be very handy for me and my upcoming projects. Thanks for the giveaway and congrats to the lucky person that ends up with it.
Hahahahaha... floppy chord. Nice video. You know your stuff. I would love to learn how to TIG weld, I have a crappy MIG welder... but it does a fair job. I would love the YESWELD TIG 205DS because it is compact, well made and it would come in very handy restoring the (wings) fenders on my MGA sportscar project. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
I’m 15 and I want to get into welding as a side job and possibly a real job but I don’t have the budget to buy even the cheapest or welders would mean the world
Before my dad past i do a lot of welding with him with time we sold all his equipment and now to get back in the welding for hobby is very expensive Looking at theses machines is very interesting and affordable Would love to be picked so i can get back in to welding like my dad was showing me If you decide to pick me i thank you and will send you a video of my first weld with the system
My son is studying for his metal/machining apprentice license and could use a tig to build his skills(far from great). Are electronics your profession Tom?
No, I'm a white collar stooge for my day job. It surprises most people who know me professionally that I can even turn a screwdriver lol. That's awesome news about your son Chris. Good luck buddy!
Sounds like an awsome u nit trying to startrestoringmy1964 novaado av8 conversion& automatic to a 4speed would be a great addition to mygarage equipment
great straight to the point video and keeping it simple, wish id seen this giveaway sooner as im a day late and dollar shorter but i still like this video the best from everything i have seen. the yes welder keeps popping up in front of me every where i look like an oman to buy one so im gonna get one of these mainly becuase of your video ! just gotta figure out how i can make that dollar longer . lol thank you very much look forward to more videos.
Love your videos, been following for a while now! I always work on my machines too, and would love a welder so I could DIY instead of bringing stuff that needs to get welded to a local shop!
Update.. after 2 weeks and an email a day the only help I got was a picture of a finger pointing at a connector to check... When I asked them what to check with a meter or am I just verifying it was plugged in they replied "we have reviewed the video you sent us again and it's broken and can't be repaired, sorry.". Basically they just want to string you along until you get tired and give up. So now I have a paperweight.
Hi, Thanks for these great reviews. I have been doing my research and have zeroed in on this machine quality/price/budget. I have 3 cars that need bodywork. I am a beginner welder and feel I can learn and grow with this machine. Thanks! Greg Goforth.

Hi, MiG welded for years, but want to really learn tig, especially on my new ultimate headers! Watching now
Pipe dope or pipe thread tape is not necessary on those types of fittings. They are compression fittings. Good video though.

Been mig welding for 5years now and my mig is not really work on sheet metal project this would be perfect for it. Thanks in advance 😁
I'm at a point I need a tig for the aluminum bed cracks on my 97 frightliner fl60 cabriolet redo project, thanks

Just moved out to the country to a new place with a shop! A welder would make a great addition to my shop tools.
I would love to give this to my brother! He has been wanting one for a while and this would be nice surprise!
Hi, been wanting to learn to tig . Been welding with a mig and I think it’s time to learn another form
You can do it!
Have a young employee that just finished welding school. Did really well for himself, that welding machine would be great for him.
CONGRATZ on 30K! This is a timely chance as I’m starting a welding class at the end of the month. This looks like a great first tig for me. :)
This comment is WAY late for the giveaway, but let me ask a question: is this welder (or any TIG welder) a good choice for someone just getting into welding, or should someone have experience with stick or MIG before trying TIG?
This would be a good choice. Flux core would be cheaper to get into but this will give you way more options down the road and is really not much more complicated aside from the gas.

I’m just starting with welding and really want to learn TIG on this new machine. So please enter me in your drawing! You didn’t mention, but I’m guessing this won’t weld AL well as it’s DC TIG???
You got it, you need DC for aluminum and that's usually a pretty big price difference. That's part of the reason my PrimeWeld is 4x the price.
Nice review! This welder would really help out making exhausts with my buddies!!!! :D
Welding up a roll cage I sure could use that tig 205 thanks for your content. Lake
Great review. I've been looking to purchase a tig welder for a little while. I appreciate the in depth review.
Hi I want it to learn how to tig and do custom exhaust 😊
Probably missed it but still welding is fun I need a tig to be able to weld a roll cage in a race car with that being said I don't have a Facebook or Instagram account. Great review
Why TIG and not MIG?
Can it weld aluminum and 6010 rod
Thank you. I had pretty well made up my mind to buy this and you just sealed the deal.
What is solastic? Do you mean silicone?
Trying to build a rear twin turbo setup for an Infiniti g35. Would be able to weld at home rather than just at work.
That's going to be sick! You're in the running.
Dear trial and error, could you do a video review on the Yes 45DS plasma cutter? Thank You.
PS, what is your name?
That welder would be great for my son who starts trade school in two weeks
Nice, good luck!
Yup I'm getting this machine now. Great review!! Also just subscribed.
Thanks for the sub!
Really nice review! Note to viewers don't set your hot torch on your TIG hose. Get a torch holder. Better yet make yourself one as a first project.
Good call! I'm an idiot lol.
I could definitely use a new welder my eastwood just died and that's why I'm watching this video to Trying to figure out what to get next 😃
Just the ticket to make a nice trailer. Thank you !

Ima raw iron fabricator .would love to learn some tig welding
I've been working on motorcycles for a couple years now. Would be great to add this machine to my arsenal!
You're in! Ride safe brother.
Nottingham NH here! Awesome content... Hope you didn't melt into the gas line with the hot tip ;)
I did LOL, just a little scuff, nothing serious!
@@Trialnerror It didn't look critical. See ya on the trails this winter!

I would love to have this welder for my son. He needs to learn some life skills and I dee welding as one of those! thanks again for the review!
Good luck!
Before my dad past i do a lot of welding with him with time we sold all his equipment and now to get back in the welding for hobby is very expensive
Looking at theses machines is very interesting and affordable
Would love to be picked so i can get back in to welding like my dad was showing me
If you decide to pick me i thank you and will send you a video of my first weld with the system
Nice video. Thank you. Does the foot pedal have proportional current control or is it just on/off?
Just on/off which isn't great but that just means you need to set your current correctly once and from there it's good to go.
We’re do I purchase this ?
My son is studying for his metal/machining apprentice license and could use a tig to build his skills(far from great). Are electronics your profession Tom?
No, I'm a white collar stooge for my day job. It surprises most people who know me professionally that I can even turn a screwdriver lol. That's awesome news about your son Chris. Good luck buddy!
Happy to see you reach your milestone, congrats. Would love a welder, just started my 47 dodge build. Keep up the great content!

I work on shipping containers and would like to have it on part of my tool
Wish I would have seen this I’m
A student and def could have used it
Been looking at this brand pretty heavily lately. I've got several projects coming up that it would come in handy for.
Hi, Thanks for these great reviews. I have been doing my research and have zeroed in on this machine quality/price/budget. I have 3 cars that need bodywork. I am a beginner welder and feel I can learn and grow with this machine. Thanks! Greg Goforth.
Will this tig aluminum
No sir, need an AC/DC welder for that. I have reviewed a few on my channel in other videos you can find on my main page.
Retired , have some aluminum projects to do !
