    I can’t tell you how much this video helped me. I have watched several other videos of very accomplished artists, and they helped me as well. But this is the first one that really showed me the importance of boxing in and how to relate aBoxed-in, planed face can help me have more realistic and accurate drawings. Thank you!

    ''The Standard Form'' comments seem, to me, to express the idea of starting with the general before moving to the specifics.
    In designing a garden, you don't first plant specific flowers and shrubbery.
    You lay out the shape of the beds, the paths. You determine where the sun falls on the space ...where walls and trees create shade.
    This is the skeleton, the bones (to take the analogy back to anatomy).
    Or, as in interior design, you don't start by arranging the furniture before you have the walls up and the dimensions of the room established.

    I thoroughly appreciate this informative video. It's jam packed with helpful tips that is always awesome to review. Viewing the same information from various artists really helps cement established conventions in my head. Chris, you have another subscriber. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

    a basic question about the parallel lines - if lines are parallel, how can they converge?

    • @ChrisPetrocchi
      @ChrisPetrocchi  2 года назад +1

      they don't converge, it's an illusion as they appear to follow a trajectory towards a point on the horizon line, called the vanishing point.

    I got your udemy course and am just starting it. Thanks for sharing this as well. Is your DrawJuice content different from the udemy stuff?

    • @ChrisPetrocchi

      Udemy is a couple of hours shorter the the Draw Juice course plus you can get mentorship instruction from me

    I don't play guitar or sing. This analogy doesn't make sense
