Great review Lucie. This was Em’s first original. You’re right, it’s amazing to see the level of maturity she has. At 13, she was more mature than many adults I know. I believe that was her grandfather’s piano. He is a talented pianist too. I appreciate your reviews of Em, Lucie. You always put so much thought and emotion into them. 🌹🌹🌹👏👏👏 Thanks to my friend Clint for suggesting this one. There’s no better way to start my day than a song from Emily!
I agree wholeheartedly. I've said many times that if this had had the name Beyonce, Taylor Swift or Britney on the record it would have been a number 1.
Thanks for your great reaction to Emily's first original Lucie. It's brilliant and beautiful to listen to. Amazing for someone this young to capture the feelings of separation so profoundly. Take care.
Hi Lucie, it's Mick in the UK. Thank you for reacting to Emily's first original song Time Goes By, and thank you Clint for suggesting it. Emily had wanted to write her own original songs for some time but never got the inspiration. That came along in a big way thanks to the pandemic. Emily's two older brothers, Thomas and Christian, live and work in Oslo, Norway. They would visit the family home in Dubai every Christmas and record a few songs together. In the summertime Emily would return the compliment and visit Norway. Because of the pandemic, all visits to other countries were banned. The last time that the brothers went to Dubai was Christmas 2019. Eighteen months later, Emily was missing her two brothers so much that she poured her heart out in a song....Time Goes By. Emily has written many fabulous songs since then, but Time Goes By is still my favourite. If Taylor Swift had recorded it, it would have been a massive worldwide hit. Thankfully, flight restrictions were lifted and the brothers were able to go to Dubai for Christmas 2021, two years later. It was at this time that they and Emily recorded their amazing cover of Let It Be, The Beatles hit. So, thank you Lucie for your fabulous reaction to Time Goes By. Take care, kind regards, Mick. ❤
@mickcollins5748 My pleasure Mick, amazing that this would be someone's first song. Emily is very special. Oh, and I did supply Lucie with the background, sometimes reactors just want to react to the song in front of them. Lucie always does a great job. Take care.
Checkmate Clint! This is my favourite of Emily's self-penned songs and, without doubt, provides a clear sign as to the level of songwriting skills this young lady possesses. I doubt John & Paul or Carole King were writing songs this good at this young age. She is the ultimate all rounder & it's only a matter of time (forgive the pun) before opportunity comes a knockin.' Thanks to Lucie for playing this & to Clint for requesting it.

My pleasure Brad, sorry if I woke you : )
Emily is a prodigy. Whether she is playing piano, guitar, singing or writing music. Love her
I believe this song would be a hit if Emily were an established star. One day, she will be. Thanks for the song Lucie.
A number of Emily's originals would fall in that category, they will get proper recognition when she is "discovered".

One of my favorite original songs from Emily. I am sure there will be a ton more coming! Thanks for reacting to this .
