I have the exact same car & I freaking love it. I got lucky and found it 1.5 yrs ago as a one owner car for $2300 with like 107000 miles on it. I’ve put about 30,000 on it so far and it’s the best running car I’ve ever owned
Had a 2000 Legacy GT wagon - good car - 5 speed so it had the basic viscous diff. Once you started spinning the wheels on snow or wet she locked up all 4 wheels with 50/50 split - you could drift like crazy because once locked up as long as you stayed on the gas it would just keep feeding power to the rear. Fun car. Never forget the smell of that diff fluid getting hot.....lol.
I have the sedan version of this, in the L Special Edition version. AWD is the selling feature to me, since I live in Canada where we have insane winters. Overall this car has been one of the best in my family the only complaints I have are that it's built for people of average stature or shorter, the automatic transmission works okay, but shifting into drive is annoying and the accelerator works according to the SPEED at which you press it, not how hard... which is sort of unconventional and annoying and gives the illusion the car is under-powered, as if you push the gas hard but too slow, it won't rev at its maximum.
How's your Subie running a year later? I recently picked up an 04 35th ann edition and it might just be my favorite car I've owned, or at the top. I got really lucky, I'm the second owner and the original owner lived in the South so there is no rust at all. It drives very well I'm happy.
@@MasiukA My L Wagon is starting to rust badly around the rear wheel wells and rear door jams... Such a shame for it has just under 70k (miles). Head gaskets are also beginning to seep oil however coolant isn't going anywhere. So all is fine there for the time being. Still a very good car in my opinion. I love their simplicity and capabilities.
No mention of the blitzen ,RSB and GTB. The automatic transmission is the trash when coupled to a boosted ej. Keep trying, you will get better at this.
I have one of these cars my grandfather gave to me back in 2013 it only has 38 thousand miles on it! The car is 20 years old The car itself is really good it’s comfortable and I like driving it especially when it’s hot and humid outside. The air conditioning is amazing. I mean it really pushes out a lot of cool air and when it’s cold outside during the winter it really pushes out a lot of hot air I don’t care about how fast it goes . The function of the car itself is perfect.
2000 legacy outback owner here...so much value for your money. oh my god I love these cars, I'll probably buy another one after this one, they're super cheap these days.
No that's definitely an L, but the USDM facelift model (03-04). It's either an 03 Special Edition or an 04 35th Anniversary Edition L which came standard with wood trim and painted molding, door handles, and mirrors, which the previous 3 US model years did not
A spot in a museum! 300,000 on a Subaru? Nah Im joking I get it I got my 04 blazer to 300k but it took 4 transmissions and 2 engines 😂😂 shes retired now lol
I have 2003 Subaru Legacy Sedan that's the same color as this one. It's my first car, and it runs good I guess. Although currently, I need to get it in for a belt or pulley replacement. If I go above 3 rpms, it squeals under the hood.

Never heard of a V6 Subaru engine.
V6? You mean flat 6?
Austin Veta they all H4
ya i was like .. what .. ? a v6..
Yea and that v6 looks an awful lot like a 2.5 lol
H6 engine boxer engine

@@RIPdBOON Mine seems to have issues with rust unfortunately the last year or so. Otherwise though it has held up very nicely.

I love these cars. 16 years old and clean and hell! I'd buy this one in a heartbeat....

Love my JDM B4 RSK it is so underrated, i am able to keep up with my friend Evo 5 with it.

It may not be super fast, but you are super small. suspension and pulling capacity is always key.
take it from me eh?
_I'm trying to figure out if the L comes with the windshield wiper defroster, or if it's only on a different package or trim_
It’s a station wagon, not a sport utility vehicle (SUV). sometimes it seems like you don’t know that much about cars.
Boring? The Impreza has better styling?
I really think the third gen legacy wagon is the best looking car Subaru ever built.
Why do you call it a "laygacy"?
635 gigahertz! That’s one hell of a clock speed

How is the acceleration on these cars?
Love my seafoam wagon.
You might have a L badge on the hatch but that’s not a L model. I have a 2002 L and there isn’t any wood grain and not even 1 sunroof.
When bought from the dealership you can choose the wood trim option and choose to get one with a sunroof

Yea I have a 2003 Subaru legacy wagon L model and it has the wood grain with 2 sunroofs
I have a 1999 2.2 legacy wagon engine. ?can you tell me if that fits on 2003 or 2004 ? I appreciate it
I have a gt30 it has a flat 6 boxer not a v6
Yes, you are correct. Sometimes my words get away from me...
What model is that legacy you're reviewing
Subaru Legacy "L Wagon"
How much a is a 2000 with 300,000 worth?

I own one and it is super good
looking at one tomo same color and everything! only 60k miles! fingers crossed!!
Good luck! I hope you got it! I've got a '97. I love mine! The plan is to keep it forever.

Does it have Bluetooth
No

have you got the squeal fixed yet?
Anybody know if this has telescopic adjustment for the steering wheel?
Only up and down. No telescoping
V6?????
No
Subaru has no V motors! All are flat boxers
@@guyjonson6364 correct
He meant H6, H being "Horizontal" indicating it's a boxer 6.
looks like my 1996
.lol
That car never came with a V6 you don't know what you're talking about it came with a 2.5 4 cylinder you're misrepresenting that car
