@@Josheasyboy It's not as clear cut as that unfortunately. Chris dies if he opens the trapdoor when investigating the voice and Ashley hasn't done so already.
+Katy Winters that's kinda because he is not wholly dead when his head drops onto the floor and his head nerves reacted like when u fall and hit yr head.

Your brain still functions for a 12 seconds after decapitation so you can still see and move your face and stuff. Same if you die your body still functions without your heart so you aren't completely dead for about 5-7 minutes.
Yeah I'd say that both Chris and Emily have the greatest chances of getting killed, which of course makes it satisfactory when you manage to save them (at least Chris, I don't like Emily at all), and I also noticed that if Chris doesn't die here, than he's safe, because in chapter 10 he's the very first one to flee the lodge, before Sam can even run to the switch for the first time! He's pretty much the only character that can't die in chapter 10. Anyway I think that the most difficult character to save is Jessica, she's the first one who risks to die, as early as chapter 4, you have to guess that you have to take the riskier paths and can make almost no mistakes... Then again you have to save here in chapter 10, with or without Matt, it's not that easy
Keep in mind: death totems always show the death of the person who found the totem. Chris found the death totem that shows 2:59, which automatically means it's his death. Meanwhile, loss totems show the death of someone other than the person who found the totem. For example, Chris can find a loss totem showing Ashley getting killed in this same part of the game.

Nope. If Ashley doesn't open the trapdoor and Chris was left behind, Chris will only die if he himself goes to open the trapdoor. He survives if he rejoins the group or ignores the trapdoor, as long as Ashley hasn't died
f with the Hog Body 😯 I love Emily. She can be a notch sometimes but she is really badass. Also you can watch her bonus scene with Matt where she is sweet and flirty. I'm In the other hand Ashley is my least favourite character. She doesn't do anything important. Also she begs Chris to shoot her but if he does, he kills him and then lies about it.
Am I the only one who finds terribly cringy that if Ashley died and Chris went on with the group, he never appears to notice it afterwards? They (Chris and Emily, if she's alive) walk back the same path because only Sam can climb the rock and they don't notice she's gone?? 😂😂 Even during the end credits, Chris never mentions Ashley, may she be dead or alive!! Even Emily mentions Matt, either in good or bad terms, but that's all just saying that the writers really didn't see that coming imho
If Chris is the only one who survives (besides Josh who can be dead or alive, doesn't matter), you will see that Chris' last interview clip starts with him sobbing. It's unclear what he is sobbing about, but it's definitely not about Josh and the creatures in the mines, because while Chris is sobbing the interviewer asks him "What about Josh?" and Chris says "What about him?", indicating that he was sobbing about something/someone other than Josh. You could interpret it in multiple ways: Chris sobbing about Ashley's death or Chris sobbing about everyone's death and that he's the only one alive or anything of that ilk. It's more complicated than that though, because every one of the 7 characters interviewed has an interview clip where they tell police there's something/creatures/wendigos/Josh in the mines, incentivizing authorities to explore the mines afterwards (and find Josh turning into a wendigo if he's still alive). However, only one character is shown on-screen with that type of interview clip, depending on who survived and who didn't. But I'm sure that in-universe all of them actually tell police that type of information if they've survived (it wouldn't make sense not to just cuz someone else survived as well), but the player is only shown one of them per playthrough rather than up to 7 of them for all the characters. So, by that logic, Chris would tell police about Josh being taken by the wendigo into the mines no matter who else has survived or not alongside him, which makes the reason for his sobbing at the beginning of that clip a lot more unclear and murkier. And of course Chris could also simply tell police about Ashley being dead and it just not being shown to the player at any time. Or maybe he doesn't want to talk about it because it would completely break him if he did (he's on the verge of breaking down in all 3 of his interview clips, so I think him talking about Ashley to police would be the nail in the coffin to his mental stability), similarly to how it breaks him when he finds her beanie.
i find it a bit weird that the others (meaning emily and sam etc) never notice if they die, they dont even mention them. this also happens if ashley survives and chris dies (and also the other way around) they just seem to forget about the other one. they couldve at least been mentioned in the credit scenes right?
+Mad Mylio Okay? Not sure why you felt the need to share something like that with me, but whatevs. All that matters is that this was a poorly executed death scene.
The fact this commenter can't see why the third comment was funny was sad. Like come the hell on. How would anyone know how bouncy a human head is, anyone been ripping some off to use as basketballs lately? I'd hope not.
When you get decapitated, you live for a few more seconds while your brain is still active, and you soon die because of blood loss. But, if you weren't losing blood, could you survive? (Obviously not for multiple days because you can't eat or drink).

Nope. If Ashley doesn't open the trapdoor and Chris was left behind, Chris will only die if he himself goes to open the trapdoor. He survives if he rejoins the group or ignores the trapdoor, as long as Ashley hasn't died
Chris: Hey, look! Blood, my crush's beanie, and a trap door! Let's open it, it's not like it's the obvious choice she made
So the wendigo was willing to wait for Chris but decides to spare Em?
The logic isn;t the best :S ;)
ben ong THATS BULLSHIT. If anyone deserves to die IT'S EMILY.
f with the Hog Body 😯 I love Emily.
Sinor Windrunner
Well but she goes through the most and finds out horrible things so...
the worst thing at chris' beheading was, that he was still alive for a few seconds
Crish was still alive when his head got cut off
the wendigos sure do love taking off heads lol
Am I the only one who finds terribly cringy that if Ashley died and Chris went on with the group, he never appears to notice it afterwards? They (Chris and Emily, if she's alive) walk back the same path because only Sam can climb the rock and they don't notice she's gone?? 😂😂 Even during the end credits, Chris never mentions Ashley, may she be dead or alive!! Even Emily mentions Matt, either in good or bad terms, but that's all just saying that the writers really didn't see that coming imho
IKR! I wish Chris would mention Ashley if she died bc I ship it really hard ok-
If Chris is the only one who survives (besides Josh who can be dead or alive, doesn't matter), you will see that Chris' last interview clip starts with him sobbing.
Chris's head is just creepy, twitching oh gawd. and most of chris' death scene is basically me, i just like chris a lot
Chris and Ashley. Ashley causes 95% of chris's deaths.
i find it a bit weird that the others (meaning emily and sam etc) never notice if they die, they dont even mention them. this also happens if ashley survives and chris dies (and also the other way around) they just seem to forget about the other one. they couldve at least been mentioned in the credit scenes right?
does it make me a bad person that the only person i know in this game is Hayden Panettiere and that's the biggest reason i bought it?
Spellbinder no. lmao. how would that make you a bad person
Keisha Brown
i probably wouldn't have gotten it otherwise.
Should recognize Rami Malek as well who played Josh.
HodWatt Not in the sli... yes, yes I was.
It's pretty sad that all of Chris death are caused by Ashley. Except If he opens the trapdoor.
I've seen that totem before, but I've never actually seen how that ended up! I thought it was Matt being dang,ed by the Wendigo.
Anyone else notice that all the Chris deaths involve his head getting ripped off?
+Thomas Taylor Yes, sometimes the deaths are repetitive for the same person. For instance, Jess ;)
the problem is the windigos are just killing these guys not eating them like they should
+supersendojarren hahaha
Are human heads really that bouncy?
Huge oversight. If it wasn't for that, that death might have actually been terryfing.
+The Raving Husky No. How do I know this you may ask? .....Legal and sane ways that's how.
It's not only because of blood loss, it's just that new blood doesn't reach your brain since you're not attached to your heart anymore ;)
+Tijey Ri ok.
The one thing that gets to me is how the heck did that windego get itself locked in there in the first place?🤔
My thought was that the trapdoor lead to an other branch of the sewer (or wherever they were) ;)
The smallest jump and both Chris and Ashley act as if they just broke their legs
U no wear beanie your brain freezes
Can you show ashley and sam alone in the basement and tunnels?
Yes!
legit tears rn
Why does the windegos have an obsession with ripping Chris’s head off
pqp chris é o mais injustiçado desse jogo kkkkkk. não se envolveu no trote na hannah, foi oq mais sofreu na brincadeira do josh, junto com a ashley, e é oq mais tem chances de morrer kkkkkkkk
Silly how everybody dies in the movie in the most un-beautiful way :|
Hey I Just want to Say You Inspired Me to make these Videos (I Have some on my Channel like this one :) ) So Thanks for Making these Video! You da Best haha :)
+SeventhWall34 That's amazing to hear! Great vids btw!
+Tijey Ri Thank You! I'll Upload More Today.
So there's so way to save Chris when Ashley dies
Why do all of Chris's deaths involve getting his head cut off? Every single time he dies it's always the head coming off.
Coz he just can't get his head around things!
rip the funny guy
!!! The Totem's Prophecy!!!
You know I realized something most of the deaths are alike cause of the wendigo with Emily the wendigo aka Hannah stabs her eyes out with Chris putting their hand in their neck and tears it off Jess breaking her jaw I think with Ashley cutting the head off then matt face getting smashed sam and Mike is just died one time
Both of those deaths reminded me of MK
I was like on the 2nd death dayum...dayumm......DAYUMMMMM!
How the FUCK did Chris move his eyes and head when his head was reaped off.
you don't instantly die, you probably do after a few seconds ;)
+Tijey Ri Okay, thnks. :)
Wow I had no idea this existed!! Great video!!
You missed 2 deaths at that part if you investigate the noise there are 2 other ways to die
I didn't understand, so if we leave Chris alone and Ashley investigate the voice, when Chris returns to the group he dies?
Only if Ashley opens the trap door, because the wendigo i'll be free.
So if ashley die chris die too u cant save him ?
+ToDaY iS ThE DaY
Seems so, unless Chris never left the group.
Well, The only way to Save him is Reasuring not leaving him behind and Then Ashley can die without Chris getting killed.
But if you left him behind and she dies, Chris dies either ways and Its inevitable, since Ashley opened the door and the Wendigo was Free
wow, I never knew about this until now..
What If Chris Investigated the Voice but went past it and kept going
+Jeffrey Tapia He dies just as he would when he rejoins the group.
Chris dies if you leave him behind (even if Ashley rejoins the group)
At 2:57 you can clearly see a hole in the wall for him to go through if you pass the hatch in the "Investigate Voice" choice. 👻
+zInsurge Wait what? I left him behind on my first play through but he still lived. Must have been a glitch if he was supposed to
+zInsurge oh wait that's if ash lets it in already, sorry for my oblivious comment
why would Ashley actually leave her lover
You just don't do that
Mystical Rock Ashley wouldn't but the player would :)
@@Nohrellas no Ashley can and did
I never saw that holy shit
2:59 What the heak is happening up there
why is there a huge bruise on his head?
Rage Gaming he was punched by josh
What would happen if many people could play as The Stranger too in Until Dawn Game?
+Clarisse me too
Markiplier Animated | Until Dawn | No
It is hilarious!!!
They really like decapitating Chris
So basically if you leave Chris behind he dies either way
Wait Chris lasted 8 seconds alive decapitated. That's a record!
Wendigos do sure love to decapitate they're victims lol
