Great content dude. I have never watched someone explain an efficient route for stones and just sorta found my own way to grab later stuff before entering stormveil to have a casual ride. I never went so far as mountaintops pre stormveil and am now inspired to learn a few skips. Stuff like this makes playthroughs with low tier builds/weapons/roleplays so much more fun. Yes the difficultly of the game is part of the enjoyment but sometimes I just want to +25 dagger from level 1 you feel me?
My 5 yo is learning to read. Meanwhile, me (owned ER for 2 months but haven’t beaten yet) learning to speedrun it. Casual speedrun, no exploits other than rune farming. I’ve written and rewritten the speedrun script so many times, using Titus and others for help. The opening hour is benign enough for even my sensitive 5 yo to watch. No fighting. Just getting stones and medallions, etc. I’ll have him read the script for me. “Son, are sure it’s South from here?” “YES, DAD. Yesterday you went to the Fort first, but you changed it to the church.” “Ok, Son. When you’re right, you’re right.” Starting a brand new game 3x a week is keeping things fresh as I help my boy learn to read. So yeah, my dude. I fucking feel you. 👊
1:00 Why does nobody ever mention the stones inside the breakable statue in the middle of the field with all the giants? They're just free stones without going all around the map. I think there's 5 smithing 1 and 1 smithing 2 in it.

You can get a +9 weapon before margit or any rememberance boss by killing the Godskin noble in volcano manor and just going into the albinauric dungeon and getting the +7 next to the abductor virgin
I wish this run didnt evolve a zip glitch. No matter how long i try i cant do a zip. Not even one by mistake! Im on pc, i dropped everything on "low", i point the camera down so there's 60 fps but i cant do it! And yes, even with a metronome!!
It’s like that. The very first time is a nightmare. But once you get it, you will absolutely get it from then out. It takes several tries though. Even when I recorded this that zip took me 10-15 min
This is amazing. I’m not just talking about the video and build. I’m also including the effort and skill needed to figure out how to create this build. Mind blowing! Anyways, I do have a few questions about this video. Please note I just started the game, so I’m probably asking something silly. First, would the attack of this build be effective in situations other than fighting a boss? For example, you’re surrounded by several rats in a tunnel, or several foot soldiers are giving chase in an open field. Second, does this build have damage protection? Lastly, could this build be a secondary load out? What I mean is since I can carry multiple weapons and such could I play as a Knight, say using the Carian armor and a Claymore, for general gameplay and then switch to your build when facing a boss? My ultimate build would be looking the part of a Knight (as described above), one hit everything and take very little to no damage.
Absolutely. Flame of the red manes is one of the best clearing ashes of war since it has a wide arc and hits and staggers multiple enemies at once so I recommend that for every build for general clearing too

When you used a zip skip to travel from one area to another (in this case, to the Mountaintops of the Giants), this WOULD be fine, except I play on console. So while the spirit spring skip to get to the Consecrated Snowfield works especially on console, I don’t think the zip skip works on every platform.
i learned the forbidden knoweledge of zip glitch just to get gugs +25, now i cant walk straight and trying to zip every single time when i need to use torrent

Correction: the consecrated snowfield skip still works but its a bit harder. But also the zips are almost impossible on console if you play on console and wrong warping is tough on console too
or just defeat up to godrick go to moghwyns underground place farm the bird to level 150 defeat godskin duo and get the other 3 smithing miners bell bearing and steal the ancient dragon smithing stone in crumbling farum azula like i did 💀
Tbh if you progress the map in certain order you shouldnt have to do this cuz most of the bosses already becomes joke and you can pretty much one shot or 2 shot it with some random range build (be it ash/ spell/ unique weapon etc) It is those random minibosses and certain enemies type that's disgusting and can most likely kill you. I swear sewer has more dangerous mobs than that joke of a boss of that area..

Well the mountain top access part just does not works no matter how or what tried, in my case I have 1.3 million runes with me that I would hate to lose fooling around
I think you could get +10 somber, before they patched the jump to the somber 7 in Volcano Manor, now it's +6 I believe 🤔 And regular, there's plenty of every smithing stone up till 5 so, +15 isn't too hard to get without killing a boss. There's some 6's but I'm not sure if enough to get to +18. If enough you can get +19 with the 2 smithing stone 7 from Caelid. If anyone knows a way to get a somber 7 without killing a boss/ using glitches then let us know cause I can't think of one 🤔
^PeachyMike's answer was great, there is a way to get a somber 7 without glitches, but the jump is a pain. It is probably the only way without wrong warps and zips right now. There is a moveswap glitch to get to mountaintops without the zip glitch but it's technically still a glitch. Like Mike said, probably level 16-18 is as high as you can go with no skips, or exploits at all with the stones available up through altus/mt gelmir before killing Morgott and hitting the mountaintops of the giants/consecrated/crumbling

I picked up 2 in ( and outside on the platform ) Redmane castle early and there's another one waiting once I start the festival so, that's 3 already, I think you can actually get at least 12 but I'm not 100% sure, I'll leave a comment once I'm done. I wanted to start a fresh playthrough anyway :)

@@dylz2490 do leyndell wrong warp. Open the door, take the elevator, you see a morgott seel barrer and just skip it with agheel flame or jumping the leaves of the right, when you pass it dodge the knight and you got the snow. After you can follow this video. This remplace the zip of the video

That castleward tunnel was the only patch. If you head over to opposums channel he has a really good guide for how to wrong warp on 1.07 I believe. You basically skip castleward completely now. Just travel to the round table, and quitout of the application or alt+f4 at the exact second the loading bar is full
I will have to check into that. I know we can get a second ancient stone. The 7s we can get more of in crumbling I would have to look into the 8s that would be the hard part
@@JohnwFOC Glintblade Phalanx (assuming all 4 blades hit, which are 10 poise damage each = the original 40 FotR did). And as far as I'm aware, you can still transfer weapon buffs through them (ie. Bloodflame Blade = adding fire damage and bleed to each Glintblade). I'm sure there's still other methods out there, for the more physical builds like Lion's Claw ash of war on something big and bulky. Eleonora's poleblade has a nice ash of war that does good stance damage as well. And that's just in general before/after nerfs..

If your strength stat is high enough, heavy infused weapons are cheaper to upgrade than any other infusion. It only applies to heavy for some reason.

Just for point reference, you can only upgrade special weapons to +10, while normal weapons up to +25

Nah they patched the skip to the consecrated snowfield so you have to either kill niall or do varres questline

I picked up 2 in ( and outside on the platform ) Redmane castle early and there's another one waiting once I start the festival so, that's 3 already, I think you can actually get at least 12 but I'm not 100% sure, I'll leave a comment once I'm done. I wanted to start a fresh playthrough anyway :)

@@masterreaper115 extremely fair pov man 👊 I would never recommend this stuff until you’ve beat the game several times and spicing it up with a level one or one shot challenge. This is the route I used for the Level 1 ONLY ONE SHOTS challenge video I just did.

@@dylz2490 do leyndell wrong warp. Open the door, take the elevator, you see a morgott seel barrer and just skip it with agheel flame or jumping the leaves of the right, when you pass it dodge the knight and you got the snow. After you can follow this video. This remplace the zip of the video

you have to get the invasion to spawn and run away to despawn them or kill them. either one will open it

What is a standard 1.07 wrong warp, i cant seem to get it. I watched your other video with he Castleward Tunnel, but i'm not getting it.
That castleward tunnel was the only patch. If you head over to opposums channel he has a really good guide for how to wrong warp on 1.07 I believe. You basically skip castleward completely now. Just travel to the round table, and quitout of the application or alt+f4 at the exact second the loading bar is full

I will have to check into that. I know we can get a second ancient stone. The 7s we can get more of in crumbling I would have to look into the 8s that would be the hard part

still does great fire damage, just doesn't break poise easily. miners are weak to fire so still good for those types of enemies

@@JohnwFOC Glintblade Phalanx (assuming all 4 blades hit, which are 10 poise damage each = the original 40 FotR did). And as far as I'm aware, you can still transfer weapon buffs through them (ie. Bloodflame Blade = adding fire damage and bleed to each Glintblade).
I'm sure there's still other methods out there, for the more physical builds like Lion's Claw ash of war on something big and bulky. Eleonora's poleblade has a nice ash of war that does good stance damage as well. And that's just in general before/after nerfs..
