Correction on dispersion: It's not related to velocity/bullet drop. It's a multiplier to the weapon's MoA accuracy, or how spread out in all directions the bullets can be when fired at a single point.
Needed this guide I've noticed personally, M855 will pierce but goes right through and doesn't make huge wounds, when you miss organs it's not doing much. However m193 the black tips still pierce well and create enough internal damage to be super useful. Had huge success with them.
Honestly, as long as you are fighting against enemies in 3A armor or less, I tend to stick with HPBT ammo as the wound channels are significantly more devastating and, unless my understanding of armor is WAY off, 3A cant stop 5.56 anyway. I really feel like this game more than any other of it's type rewards being smart with ammo selection rather than a one size fits all approach
i definitely like that they went with real world armor and ammo classification, makes it easier to understand for those of us with some real world knowledge
Tier 3 Gunny unlocks M855A1, which I can’t wait to unlock. Now, a misnomer on M855, it’s not armor piercing, but it is enhance penetration (same with the A1). True armor piercing uses a tungsten core, M855/A1 uses a steel and lead core. Other than that, this game tickles the gun guy in me in regards to weapon customization, looking forward to lights and lasers being introduced, as well as night vision (no clue when they will be added, though).
@@OneShotRich I am a giant gun nerd, not to the extent of Brandon Herrera or Ian (Forgotten Weapons), but if you ever need help on the gun and ammo side, let me know
Dispersion is when you shoot groups on real life. You aim at the same point, but the bullets will almost never hit that point. That's dispersion. Say .5 MOA, I think th M4 on here is like 2.15moa or something. That's about a 2.2" group at 100 yards. That is your dispersion. So the -2% would take 2% off that group size at 100 yards.
they should add a simple indication on the ammo info like "+ pen/ - flash damage" for AP, "+ flesh damage/ - pen" for SP/FMJ and maybe "+ Crippling damage/ - pen" for HP rounds but really id like to see actual values and a breakdown of the damage systems. I dont quite understand the blood system and the direct effect a bullet has on those health stats, definitely a unique system to get used to
Blood system in this game is lost some when getting hit and lost more for multiple wound or bigger wound. And cavity wound that reach your heart means instant dead also your brain. Internal organ damage cause pain and make your character dizzy. Painkiller and stop your bleeding first to continue fighting. The blood slowly regenerate back but if you lost too much you need blood bag to fill.
My first play with 5.56 AP ammo was terrible. I send 6 bullets into the AI chest (without armor) and AI still manage to shoot me down and apparently survive. And it's not my first time the AI looks like they dont give a sh*t about you're shooting them 5-10 times (i mean 5-10 hits, not including misses). Also, there were few situations when AI did not go down with 2-3 headshots as well, so idk if it's just a server lags, where the hits just dont registered or it's kinda usual thing for GZW. Please, share you experience, i really want to know if this happened to any1 as well.
@@lander4048 FMJ for most AI except the military guys, for those I use PP (which they themselves carry). You can also buy PS which seems to be very similar to PP.
I started playing with m4s and 556 ammo and died a lot because the enemies wont die. Then i started stealing aks with sp ammo and destroyed everyone. Its so much better
Why....why does game developers always use green tips M855 as Armor piercing. They aren't made to penetrant Armor, its made to penetrant building materials and reinforced concrete. M855A1 AND M193 will penetrant Body Armor because of the speed of the projectile.
SP is the default AI ammo for AKMs, higher tier AI uses US which is subsonic and seems to do almost nothing even on headshots. SP is solid except for armored targets.
US really is not that good. I find myself dumping AI with even the weakest level three body armor. We all know the issues with AI in this game. It seems to me like there’s no good 76 2 x 39 in the game yet unless you’re pulling him off of boxes, but I’ve seen even them running US.

THANK YOU. I tried reading so much online but I couldn’t find good enough answers!
Gonna pin your comment!
100% accurate. Haven't tested if in game this correlates BUT in theory this is the definition of dispersion.
Would dispersion not relate to the bullet fragment after entering flesh of a target in theory creating more severe wounds?
@@nathanbarth7628yeah to me it's more related to that as bullet types with the least expansion properties have no to negative dispersion.
Dispersion is in MOA. 1 MOA is approximately 3cm dispersion at 100 meters.

5.45.39 7N0 ammo is selling on turncoat one but their wiki says its rank 2. Seems to be a straight better version of 5.45 FMJ
How about Turn Coat trader, confusing about 5.45 caliber.
