We had to get an eeg on our one year old because we noticed she would roll her eyes and her arms would go out. Everything was normal and it was just behavioral and went away. I was also terrified it was infantile spasms. Praying for your family and a good result as well 🙏🏻
My baby girl at only a few days old, would spasm, arch her back, head back, sometimes her eyes would roll. Took her to the doc (she amazingly did it for the doc). He said we should take her to Children’s because it looked like seizures 😢 After 2 days of tests, scans, pokes, spinal tap, they said it was probably GERD. Turns out it was. But with the initial diagnosis-guess & all the tears of the day, taking her to Children’s, etc., my husband said something that calmed my heart & soul. “It’s going to be okay. God sent her to our family because he knew we would be the best parents to care for her & prepare her through life’s challenges.❤️ He’s trusted us to care for one of his most precious spirits.” Sending love & prayers your way. What ever the outcome, you got this. God loves your precious baby & will bless you & strengthen you ❤️
Ugh this breaks my heart. I can only imagine how scary it is not knowing. I can’t say I know exactly what you’re going through but I was diagnosed with myoclonic seizures at age 14. When I was diagnosed they said it was more common in babies and they usually grow out of it. But unfortunately that wouldn’t happen for me because I was already pass the age to grow out of it. That same day I was also diagnosed with absence stare seizures and tonic clonic seizures(grand mal seizures) the good news is that I started medication and haven’t had a seizure since and I live a totally normal adventurous life!! Sorry I know ranty, but you got this and your attitudes are amazing and if there is something wrong it’s not the end of the world! Good luck sending love ❤️
Indi is in the safe hands of professionals, two loving parents, and an extra loving big brother. Praying for all of you and am eager to hear good news ♡
Sending thoughts and prayers. I’m sure everything will be alright. 30 years ago my 2mo old son had infantile seizures. We were very blessed that they we mild and he only had them until he was 4 mos old. I hated that they put him on phenobarbital meds to prevent them and I’m sure treatment is different today. My son is a healthy 30yr old, thriving, and never had any ill effects from the seizures or the meds. ❤️
My son had seizures in infancy. I noticed when he was about 2.5 weeks old but the nurses kept telling me it was probably nothing to worry about. It pacified me for a second but I knew something wasn't right. Once I was able to get it on video when he was about a month old (because they were so quick I couldn't get my camera up fast enough) we were sent straight to the ER and then to neurology. He got an EEG and seizures were confirmed. Thank goodness he's been seizure free without meds for about a year and he's doing well. But I know if I waited any longer things could have been very different. Thank goodness for mommy intuition. Because I don't know where he'd be developmentally otherwise. Wishing you all the best. Hopefully things will be normal and stable overall.
My baby had twitches as a newborn whenever he was too hot. He had a bad birth so I was really worried but he outgrew this within weeks and is perfectly fine now.
My son had those too!!! The non-serious ones. But they freaked me out. I have 7 kids and my 7th is the only one that had them. They were gone by a few months old like you said.
we went through this with my son, now 8. for him, it was sandifer syndrome which is basically a severe response to reflux that presents like spasms. they diagnosed my son by giving him some reflux medicine which made the spasms stop almost immediately.
I actually experienced this as a baby, but nothing was noticed until I was 27 years old and I went to the doctor for gbs. They found a brain scar and that's it I live a normal life. They went away.
Maybe it could help if you hold him more in horizontal position. I noticed you are holding him a lot in a vertical position and it is not good for their spine, nerves and development. At least that’s what physiotherapists told us.
I’m so glad things are looking up! This is terrifying to me as a brand new mom, and I am so sorry little Indi is going through this. Keeping your sweet family in my prayers❤️
Some baby's don't smile as much as others, because they are just a bit more serious. I thought my first son had autism, for lack of thinking I'm funny. He is 18 and still very serious and he mostly only thinks he is funny. But very loving soul. My doctor said that " He is a serious baby and does not find most people to be funny ". He was correct. He also thinks he right about everything 90% of the time, witch he admits.
I had thee samee thing and it turned out I had Myoclonus Dystonia. I still have jerks 26 years later. Hopefully Indy does not have anything I have and I am praying for y'all
Yeah whenever I was a mom that happened to me a lot now I don’t have what he had but I had something similar but yeah I really didn’t like it it’s OK if he stays need for a long period time you whenever he’s OK he’s gonna grow out of it once he gets older like 18
Oh my goodness, he's a little doll!! Using cool baby wipes or a wet washcloth to wipe his face is a great last resort to keep him awake. I had to do that often with my 2 youngest sons to get them on a sleep schedule.
Likely a mineral issue I’ve been through tissue mineral analysis training I can get you info! It’s a lot of info but still happy to share this is happening more and more with kids lately it’s frustrating.
Oh My... I actually cried when I saw Indy all glued with electrodes & head wrapped... I am continuing to PRAY that all this will subside in JESUS PRECIOUS & HOLY NAME I PRAY... AMEN 🙏💙✝️🤗 GBY ALL 🙏❤💙💙💙🧸🤗
I remember my mother said, that, when that happens to a baby, maybe they got scared or got frightened by something. Like loud noises or maybe they saw things that got them scared or frighten. I don't know that, that thing can actually be serious.🥺 Praying for you guys.❤
My baby girl had had the same issue when she was 2 months old and I drove my self crazy worrying about it , she would just randomly do this spasm and scream every time …. But after like 4 months she has never done that anymore so I can very much understand how worried you are but trust me if could be just that , just pray that’s what I did and it gave me peace and I know Jesus had his hand on my baby girl !
I used to donate breast milk to a babe that had infantile spasms but had since recovered. He was placed on the ketogenic diet and it did wonders for him! He hasn’t had any seizures since!
My son is 7 and has lennox gastaut syndrome he was 1 when he has his first seizures they were different ones. He used to have over 200 a day, I'm so glad we took him to cincinatti they now got him on the right meds and he only has them when he gets sick or over heats or if he misses a dose of his meds which only happend once when he was in the hospital. I pray for indi I understand the 😟 worries. God bless you guys. My son is doing good but he don't talk and is very bad delayed. Love you guys
