hello sir, I also have t430 with 4GB RAM and want to upgrade it to 8 GB. I understand the second slot it empty and I can buy a 4GB stick and install it easily but the confusion is, can I buy PC3 12800 or can I also buy PC3 12800S, I am confused with the 'S' in the end and also what is the Mhz speed of the already installed 4 GB stick, is it 1600 Mhz? Is the PC3 RAM compatible with PC3L RAM if I get one. Also, Can I go for PC3L 12800S for both the RAM slots, 2*4 GB PC3L 12800S?
