These videos are like a mini masterclass in what each circuit type is and what to expect them to do. Very Much appreciated Mike 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻 Hope you have a great weekend!
Hey thanks! We’re just scratching the surface here but that’s kinda the idea! I would like to do some more in depth videos on tuning transistors and more. Appreciate the feedback!
I don’t own any of your pedal (yet) but I love the fact that you offer a real « handwired boutique » pedal range for a decent price compared to many other boutique brands that play the components scarcity game.
Hey thanks! There’s certainly some of the part scarcity at play with some custom builds, but it is possible to make a really great wallet friendly version of these classic circuits! Thanks for watching.
@@dgraves242 both of them inherently remove a lot of low end, which is normal and possibly useful but maybe putting them into a clean blend loop would be interesting? Theyre gonna cave in by nature with a hot signal or a bass but it’s kinda fun.
The attack from both of these boxes are insane! I love Fuzz, and have a lot (too many?) Fuzz pedals. Stacking is fun, but mostly use them one at a time? Have to break out the Zonk again! You are a Fuzz whisperer …your pedals are definitely on my radar ☮️💟🕉️
@@NightShazz9000 for these I believe they are done with a laser printer, professional stuff! I have done some waterslides in the past and I’ve seen some brush stencils that can work well for diy though! Thanks!
Nice sound both Zonk and MK1! Is it possible to tune them a bit less gated at full Attack? The gated effect could be ajustable at 50-75% on the Attack knob. Just asking otherwise, they sound fantastic to me!
It is possible but imo they will lose part of what makes them special, the pinch on the attack. Without that it sounds and more importantly feels a little more generic. However that’s just my opinion, I am able to tune to the customers preference if asked to do so.
Hi, Mike! I'm enjoying these videos where you explain the circuits and how you tune them. I own both the germanium and silicon versions of the Truth Face. Although they might have only minor differences between their circuits, each one seems specialized to certain applications. Am I perceiving that correctly in terms of how you designed and tuned them?
Silicon will definitely work just a bit differently in the same circuit as Germanium, the controls will go just a bit further on a Silicon FF usually. I’ll maybe do a video on that subject at some point too!
The enclosures for the Lineage and Signature Series pedals are built up for me by F5 Metalworks, that includes drilling/machining, powdercoating and printing. I’m not 100% sure the process for printing but I know it’s not screen printed.
@@SeekerElectricEffects Awesome. They look really sleek. Also, they all sound pretty much perfected. Wish your pedals were available in Europe. Welp, maybe some day?
As a fuzz lover I must say these are two of the best sounding fuzzes I have ever heard!

As you mentioned, would love to see a direct comparison of Sola vs. System. Keep up the videos, and keep up the great work!
Will do! Thank you!
Thank you! Been hoping to see this kind of breakdown. A Sola vs System analysis would be great.
i need both of these easily the best mk1 and zonk on the market love from australia brother.
Thanks!

Great explanation! If you were going to modify either of these to sound better on bass guitar, what would you change?

Hi Mike, big fan of your videos and pedals. Just wandering how do you apply your graphics to the enclosure? Keep on Fuzz’n! 😎
