Is there a possibility that you can make an digital design in a program like tinkercad i am trying to recreate this but it wont work and can not find the problem
I love this
Holy shit how is it doing that like slow attack thing?
Love the video
@@cwrigh13 thank you! I need to do a follow up!
its like Black Crowes but with more fuzzz!
Sounds great!
Hi im a big fan of your pedals i have a question were the FACE pedals you sold to TGT11 in stockholm sweden germanium or silicon
I prefer Supa. I wonder how they'd sound in parallel, like blending 2 channels of an amp.
@@dchatterson great idea! Could be epic!
Gotta get a Supa now.
@@Fuzzbot71 I’ll have some special ones this weekend ready to ship!
For the love of FUZZ, delightful
@@jjarabejo305 thanks! Both my favorites!
Friend, what tuning does the MKI have?
That’s Sola tuned, but it’s tuned a bit further than usual. It will be available soon!
It’s hard for me to pick a favorite, so BOTH! The MKI has such a biting presence and the note decay is SICK. But dang it, I love a well tuned Supa - THICK!
@@petergarcia8615 agreed! Hard to pick a favorite between these two!
It would be awesome to hear these without all of the processing. The OX, cabinet simulator, mic simulators, various EQs, delays, etc color the sound too much. Most players will not be be using any of that. What are the odds of getting some demos without all of that stuff added in?
@@killingtime77 I’d have to add in something else to capture the sound no matter what; a mic, a preamp, an interface, not to mention the speaker itself, all being something that colors the signal, and then still process that signal on the back end to upload it to the internet where ultimately you’ll hear it all come out as 0s and 1s. I play way too loud to record with just a cell phone unfortunately, the audio gets blown out. Mike
@@SeekerElectricEffectsare you being serious? You made a 45 minute video of your recording setup. These videos could not be any more manicured. You might as well just design a plugin. You have more processing going on with these clips than there is in a jar of Cheez Whizz. lol
@@killingtime77 I’m very happy with the sound, I prefer a polished sound that shares each fuzz in detail, it might not be for everyone and that’s ok. I also like to use reverb and delay for effect, but sometimes I’ll record dry. It would be difficult to accommodate your request for several reasons including the time of day I record (often 1-3AM), and simply not having the gear it would require to capture a polished and professional sound at my disposal. Mike
@@SeekerElectricEffects there are piles of videos that let the player hear the pedal and not a hundred points of signal processing. You should just skip germanium and move to plugins. You can polish those even more.
Dude. This is the most complex sounding Octavio type I've heard. Is the toggle for octave? Is it the Face without the octave?
@@jonathonawarnberg thanks! No it’s a pretty straight up Tycobrahe Octsvia. The switch turns off the octave component, it’s pretty high gain overall compared to a fuzz face.
Incidentally, I just tried out 5 or 6 fuzz pedals by highly respected builders at a great local shop yesterday. (Walrus, Benson, EQD to name a few.) Nothing came close to convincing me to swap out my Seeker MK1. Can't wait to hear more about this one. Side note - curious about that Hiwatt. I see a Master Vol set extremely low, but the tone is still great. Mind sharing the model? How loud is it in that setting?
@@Shweg9140 Hey thanks! If you’re a MKI fan this SUPA MKI will be right at home in that family with a little different eq and feel. The hiwatt in the background isn’t on in this clip, the one being played (same amp) has the master just past noon with both channels jumped and both channels pushed past noon as well. Edge of breakup with the Tele bridge pickup. Fantastic amps being made now from the Hiwatt crew! Mike
@@Shweg9140 oh also sorry forgot to add, the model is the DR20/0.5 from their custom shop lineup. 20w DR103, same preamp, el84 power section. Perfect low volume big sound solution. Mike
Thank you, I'll check them out!
great sound 🎶🎛️✌️ Russian GE?
@@andy_fx yes that’s right. Thanks!
Gnarly, love the way that sounds in between playing
As a fuzz lover I must say these are two of the best sounding fuzzes I have ever heard!
I've already read some things on forums to try my mki, this video is excellent! Rock! What is the value of the resistor to help polarize Q1? thanks 🎶🎛️✌️
@@andy_fx 2m2 works well. Thanks!
@@SeekerElectricEffects Cool, I'll try here, I'll separate some transistors with sockets to see which kit is best for tuning later, thanks for the tips! ahhh one last question about transistors, I know it's not a cake recipe, but for a good start, what would be hfe and leakage for Q1, Q2 and Q3? Big hug from Brazil 🎶🎛️
@@andy_fx for system tuning like anything it’s to your taste but 50-70/110-130/70/110, leakage will matter a lot for but use your ears and check voltages. For a stock unmodded MKI - .300/.100/.080 ish would do the trick but this is why ear testing before is critical.
@@SeekerElectricEffects I understood! I'm already separating several transistors for hearing. Interesting, I thought the smallest leak was for Q2... and thank you for the valuable information, big hug 🎶🎛️
Was that full on oscillation around 3:37 or were you hitting harmonics with a sledgehammer? Either way, so tasty.
Love it, sounds like a mk 1 and a big muff had a baby.
@@WadMartin Thanks! That’s it! It’s MKI but BIG.
Beautiful
It would be nice to hear some of these pedals without the use of the Oxbox and all of the signal processing. Perhaps just a room mic? Maybe even your phone.
@@killingtime77 I might try someday to mic it up for fun, I can’t always (this was recorded at 2am), but no matter what you do you’ll end up processing the sound somewhere, the OX is just a simple piece of gear that does the same job of several pieces of gear on the back end of the amp. In this context where it ends up uploading to the internet anyway, I find I get the clearest sound and representation of the sound of the pedal this way. A cell phone recording gets absolutely crushed without a mic, it’s too loud and sounds terrible, no dynamics etc. If you’re local you’re welcome to come check it out, or check one of my many dealers! Mike
@@SeekerElectricEffects I would respectfully disagree here. Playing into an amp like a Princeton with mic into an interface would be much more of a true representation. It doesn't get much more processed than using an OX, cab simulator, plugins and whatever else signal processing is happening here.
Genius!
YES.
Gnarly! 😳
This sounds nasty…. In a really good way
@@ConspiratorElec haha thanks! I would’ve also accepted nasty in a bad way 😈 a fun circuit for deconstruction / broken tones!
Not a fan of gated but I love the mkt. prolly gonna pick one up from you soon.
@@waskerbasket9601 it can be adjusted one way or the other as far as gating goes, if you prefer a wide open sound it can be done! Email me when you’re ready. Thanks!
Really appreciate this, I'm learning the MK I circuit. It's not easy!

Has to be Elka Dizzy Tone next!
@@lukamajcen-x6z good guess, definitely three transistors! A little simpler…
Hi Mike, big fan of your videos and pedals. Just wandering how do you apply your graphics to the enclosure? Keep on Fuzz’n! 😎
@@NightShazz9000 for these I believe they are done with a laser printer, professional stuff! I have done some waterslides in the past and I’ve seen some brush stencils that can work well for diy though! Thanks!
Sounds great what amp is being used in the video? Thanks
@@goerfton77 hello, thanks! The amp in this video is the @HiwattOfficial DR20/0.5, a newer model that’s like a low powered DR103. Here’s a link below… britampco.co.uk/hiwatt/shop/details/HW-DR20P5-HD-BLACK.html

Modded duh! 😂
This was a really cool little explanation of these circuits and I appreciate how clearly you talk. I'm really surprised how useable the low settings on the sustain are. I haven't had a muff that sounds good at all below about 12 o'clock on the sustain. Both of your pedals somehow maintain clarity at every level. Awesome.
Great informative vid. One muff is never enough
Love muffs
Great video! Both sound fantastic!
Awesome video! Very informative! I fall in and out of love with big muffs in stock OG form but I love them with a mids knob lol overall BMs are awesome though thank you for this man!

Beautiful pedal, great sounding MKI per usual from Seeker. I will have a giant hunk of that gold cheese one day. I sometimes wish all of my pedals were this large.
I’ve got something in the works to get these out to the masses soon..!

SEEKER, make a new octavia design pedal that is a new design not a copy
Hey! This is an interesting thing to ponder. I’d love to make an original design in general BUT what keeps me from doing so is sales. More people like familiar designs and want to hear “my take” etc. unfortunately I could make new things I like all day long but if nobody buys them I’d be out of business pretty quickly! Maybe I’ll get there someday though. All that being said I do have an idea for an overdrive that would be somewhat original!? Might be fun to do a new octave, and I’ve even messed around with it some but I haven’t found anything that sounds as interesting as the classics. Mike
@@SeekerElectricEffects Start a 2nd company a side company making your own pedal designs for some side money while the Seeker is your main company the customers only want copied designs.
