I've heard of people doing things like that to stop their success from making them complacent so I suspect that she actually did it for that reason rather than not caring but if not then I get Rick's point
Idk. I’ve come around on the people helping out the homeless for content. Ad revenue from views and contributions from viewers makes the operation much more sustainable and allows them to help a lot more people than they would otherwise. Obviously there are grifters out there but there are some Tiktokers doing some real good with that model.
I think what she was failing to use full sentences to explain is that the act of burying the awards is symbolic of letting go of them. It has nothing to do with not caring about accolades (in Esther's mind). We don't bury the dead because they are meaningless to us; we do it to symbolize change and progress.
