I just returned from Istanbul yesterday (30.03.). Concerning the time it is better to plan with 90-100 minutes. Walking distances are long, especially when you change from M11 to M2. In march the M11 has three scedules / hour, so it can take extra time to wait if you miss one line. With Istanbulcard it is easy going, the trip is around 100 TL (2,86 Euro / 3,09 USD). A private transfer from the airport with a van you can book for around 33,-Euro / two persons.
I liked this , but would of loved it had you shown how to buy and load the card . Do we tap the card before the ride and also again after ? Many of us have never used public transportation . Aprox how far of a walk after getting off the first train is the transfer to M2 ? How long from airport doors to get to the Veznecilar station ? Is a Taxi much faster ?
@jonadabster8401 Hello, 1-)How to buy and load a public transport card is available on my channel, I leave the link.m.ruclips.net/video/0tnH9ul6t_E/видео.html 2-)It takes 10 minutes to walk from M2 to M11. 3-)It takes 1 hour from Istanbul Airport to Vezneciler 4-)Taxi may not be a quick option considering the traffic.
@@travia6688 Yes and happily an American . It is very different here , especially where I live , I bought my first car at 15 and have a few vehicles outside my front door not including my motorcycles . The train sorta looks fantastic , I’ll see , but if you came here……. I would hope you knew how to drive
Thank you for the video. Can you buy/top up Istanbulkart with Visa/Mastercard, or is it cash only? Also, do you happen to know if there is an PTT/Halkbank ATM on the airport? Thank you.
@marto5186 Hello, You can buy Istanbulkart with a credit card. There is a Halkbank ATM on the departures floor of the airport. There is a PTT branch at the airport.
@@ThomasBudak Thank you Sir. One more question, is it safe to traveling around istanbul with my children and wife, because we are from asia and a bit worry.. thank you for gour time for answering me.🙏

Hi Thomas, Hope you are fine. You have told everything in detail. I have 3 questions. 1. Is transport is free for 6 years old child on Bus, Metro, Tram and Ferry or de we need to pay for a child from Istanbul card ? 2. Which area is better to get local food more easily, Sultanahmet or Taksim ? 3. Is May and June weather is good to wear half sleeves T-Shirts or is too hot or Cold ?
@user-ns7vj4tz5h Hello, 1-)Children under 6 years old can travel for free. 2-)Sultanahmet may be better for local food. 3-)The months of May and June are hot. You can wear a t-shirt. You can take a sweatshirt with you for the evenings.
@user-ns7vj4tz5h You can go to Bileci by train via the B1 train line close to Sultanahmet. I am writing the link of the site where you will buy the ticket. ebilet.tcddtasimacilik.gov.tr/view/eybis/tnmGenel/tcddWebContent.jsf
