Dropped by because I was told this game is like Aidyn Chronicles: The First Mage on the N64 by THQ / H20 back in 2001 I think more than anything its similar combat system ish but I am getting some real souls like vibes going on. Regardless, i'm loving it and appreciate the upload :)
“Sidney, get out of here!” 😂 cool run bro, did you utilize quicken? I don’t have time to watch entire video YET but up to Rosencrantz, I didn’t see you save Faerie Wings. Those can help you bypass some end game puzzles in TOK and Cathedral.
i remember running through my filthly casual run and pairing crimson pain with raging ache. it would definitely be interesting to see a hybrid of those abilities.
i killed it with a balbrigan, the 2h axe. pretty much use jumps to get close, chain combo his ass as much as you still doing damage, jump then break art. always keep hp over 250 if possible cuz its really easy to get blasted to oblivion.
Raging Ache is a chain ability that does damage based on how much HP Ashley is missing. It doesn't get any of it's damage from the initial hit, so you can miss and it will still do damage. This allows you to bypass enemy defenses entirely.
@@ironcnash It is, but it's not the end-all be-all. It was thought for a long time that routes using pretty much only Raging Ache were the fastest, but this route that avoids it entirely disproves that, as there are some sections that are noticeably faster. It's likely that the fastest route would use some mix of both.
@@DragondarchSDA - I personally think that Raging Ache is bad. Using Crimson Pain and Heavy Shot like you did is far more efficient. Especially if you consider those 2 abilities are easy to chain due to the timings making it so that you can create a pattern even when you can't see an enemy. Using Raging Ache is far too risky when enemies just randomly crit you too. Phantom Pain is also useful.
@@WardenOfTerra Realistically, a pure any% run would use Raging Ache for some amount of the run, though how much has yet to be determined. It removes the need to detour for a few items, plus saves a number of menus, all of which cost quite a bit of time.
you forgot to mention that you are at NG+ where all your gear was with "Damascus" material represented by the letter "L" in gold 26:05 . these equipments are with the best material in the game, on the other hand you are using Bronze "B" weapons in blue. - leaving this in the description helps for people who don't understand English, you can even say it in words, but I don't understand and I can only translate what is in the subtitle.
Damascus is represented by the letter D, actually. The L represents Leather, which is the weakest in terms of physical protection. All of my equipment is the default starting equipment when starting a fresh file. And if this was a NG+ run it would say so in the description.
@@DragondarchSDA but why is this letter in yellow color? the leather comes with an L in blue color < I thought the yellow L was Damascus, but using a different letter because the language is not the same as mine.. so you're wearing leather but it's a reinforced leather outfit so the letter L is yellowish.. By the way... Great video!

You are digging into my unfinished play list...... THANK YOU!!!!

you run all the best rpg's ever made dude!
Omg, nostalgia!
Those wheels timing did you learn the timing for each one or do you time it with your eyes
I have visual cues on each reel.
Best player!
So what's Raging Ache, and why is not using it a notable condition for a speed run?
