- Hi friends! Todays vlog is a weekend in my life living with my chronic illness gastroparesis and a g/j feeding tube. This is part two of the footage I got this week. Part one is already up on my channel and those were just the few days in my life before this.
In this video we go bioluminescent kayaking which was so fun! I am so thankful my health was in a spot where I could go and fully enjoy the experience. I felt so blessed! This video also includes decorating a lot of our house including putting contact paper on my desk, hanging up wall decor in Joseph's office, making the cutest accent wall in my sewing room, building and unbuilding a cube shelf and setting up my sewing machine and serger!

i just discovered your channel and now i’m binge watching everything. i’ve been loosing weight and bedridden from stomach pain and nausea. i’m scheduled for a gastric emptying scan soon. i’m really nervous and unsure how to manage gastroparesis (if that is what i have) once i’m diagnosed! but it makes me really happy to see these vlogs. your positivity is contagious!! p.s. love the house :D
I am so sorry to hear about your symptoms. Those symptoms are so rough to go through. I hope you get answers soon so you can start on some treatments and hopefully get some symptom management. I appreciate your kind words and I am wishing you all the best!!
Just remember to take one step at a time. You'll have good days and you'll have bad days but you've got this!
First I wanna say, Kayaking in the dark. That is brave! SO scary. All I can imagine is all the FL creatures coming to get me. Hah! Did you see gator eyes?
Second, you seem so happy. It is awesome to see you and the BF having so much fun. So adorable. Also, I love the decal wall. Is that wall textured or just flat? I wanna do one. I love all your decorating and wall decor. Can I just have it all for myself? hah! You make me smile so much!
It wasn’t too bad and no I didn’t see any gator eyes thank goodness. I am so happy I was feeling well enough to have this much fun! The wall and stickers are flat! I love the stickers and they were so easy to do I would definitely try! And you are too sweet thank you!!

So I absolutely love watching your videos it’s great seeing someone like me, I also have gastroparesis which started at 14 and I’m 16 now it’s gotten worse over time but I only take erythromycin and reglan for treatment and I’m about to do my second gastric emptying scan and all my medications are getting upped in dose amount and I was discussing with my doctor a GJ tube for the days I can’t eat because I’ve had SMAS and all I want to do is prevent that terrible dramatic weight lost and I was wondering if having a GJ tube is difficult or if it has been beneficial for you I’ve had four NG tube placements while hospitalized and I really don’t mind them they are just uncomfortable. Manifesting you luck with your health:))
Aw thank you! I am so sorry to hear you are also struggling with Gastroparesis and that things are getting worse for you. For me personally the GJ tube hasn’t been difficult for me at all! Everyone is different but I haven’t had any issues and it has been beneficial for me to keep up my nutrition while my symptoms are bad. Nasal tubes are definitely pretty uncomfortable. Thank you so much and I am manifesting the same for you!
@@KennaKrueger thank you for responding I really appreciate it I’m just worried about the pain after the surgery they normally give me morphine in the hospital for the “flair ups” I’m not even sure if gastroparesis flair ups are a thing but I think they are I’m just hoping they would give me morphine if I get a G tube or GJ

Thank you so much! This was my first time kayaking in the dark as well. It got a little bit scary if I looked out too far in the distance where it was pitch black haha but other than that it was peaceful!

You went out for a family day on my birthday it looked fun minus the bites ..I think my appointment for my surgeon is finally days away if I’m wrong it’s the week after but I think it’s Wednesday the 21st how are you how you enjoying being closer to family

@@KennaKrueger thanks love 💕 I will message you how it goes I don’t know what to expect from the appointment and if they say some bad news I kinda switch off then and they may aswell talk to themselves haha 😂 the worse case is I definitely need my bowel removed I’m not mentally ready now I was then test after test slowed it down and now I’m hoping they’re are better options

What would happen if you accidentally feel into the lake with your feeding tube??! I noticed you didn't get it wet while swimming (in the vlog at least) so I'm assuming you have to be careful with it? I would have been so nervous!
I would definitely have to wash it very well so I don’t put myself at too much risk of an infection! You can swim in pools and oceans uncovered (at least that’s what I’ve heard) but should avoid lakes and rivers and stuff but I have never really fell in while kayaking in the past so I wasn’t too worried!

Just curious, do you ever find it hard with having to have the rucksack on your back a lot of the time & also does it feel heavy?
Well done on the contact paper, the table looks great. Your boyfriend had a lot of patience to do that. I’m such a perfectionist & would lose my patience with it.😀
Thank you so much! And yes it does get a bit annoying sometimes but I am also used to it. Some days it feels heavier than others but the key is to find a good backpack that carries the weight well so it doesn’t feel as heavy.
And I would definitely lose my patience with it too so I am so thankful he was willing to do it for me!!
You and your boyfriend look compatible together. Both of you seemed happy. I was wondering if you ever thought of getting married and have a family of your own. It could be a new milestone in your life.
