You really need to watch the live stream he did for this release. He wrote these songs years ago when he was in a very lost and dark place. He said this album sick boy is really from that time period in his life's song. And the album after this one he wants to show the more upbeat and hopeful time. REN IS JUST AMAZING

My mom since I was 6 has and still is an addict…started with pills…I love her because I remember who she was before but I haven’t had a mom for over 30 years now…so thankful you are here in this place now :)
Thanks Ray, hope you had a good vacation. Yeah, the songs are all connected like Russian dolls, except I reckon when we get to see the whole album we'll see more like a web of connections rather than a chain, maybe. Seems to be a pretty coherent thematic body of work. Ren said on his recent twitch stream that he mostly wrote these songs a couple of years ago when he was in a bad place, but the songs he is writing now are more positive. I'm not sure how much of the drugs stuff to take seriously because he talks about alcohol in various songs but he has said several times publicly that he hasn't drunk for about 10 years. Glad to hear that you got into recovery and managed to heal your relationships.
I totally agree that there will be a connection in the album. Like Marshall Mathers lol or The Wall I believe Sick Boi will be a concept album.

What you need to remember Is Ren is an Artist and Most Artists put their Pain, grief, fears, anger, etc... into their Art instead of into their life. I think the consistency in the polo shirt is either just choosing something simple to wear all the time because if you have chronic illness choosing and changing outfits etc takes your energy which you can't waste or else it's a reference to that thing where really successful people wear the same thing all the time as it's a waste of their time to choose a different wardrobe all the time. Love this new song, it hit me hard 💯
And wearing most of the clothing became painful to wear. I think that maybe this shirt was least painful?

I think the use of the similar lines is in the other voice as if it's saying it back to him, like a different inner perspective. The glowing pink eye self reflection parts are all from his dark side. I love this song, top 3 Ren for me.

Ray, Rens play on words is like no other! Along with the theatrics could be a play, or a movie or the greatest concert you've ever been to! I don't think there's anyone in the past or present that could do all what Ren does! I've said this many times, Ren is a Lyrical Miracle Musical Genius with Theatrics! He's a master of his craft! I can only hope when he's up to it, he goes on tour in the United States and call it the Renaissance music festival! The tour would be a sellout with all his Renagades attending!
