And yet, Musk posting his build (and the recent stream that proved, demonstrably, he's paying people to game for him) indicates that it matters a *whole* lot to Musk that people believe he has any kind of gaming skills. Imma be honest, i always suspected that all the items he had equipped were never all equipped at one time, so he wasnt actually always fatrolling. But then again this IS big brain Elon so-
I though in the original post he mentioned how he would unequip if he needed to roll a bit faster, meaning he had it all on at once unless he couldn't out roll things.
He probably hadn't ever played these sorts of games before, so likely just loosely cobbled a mess together as he went along. Like many dad-gamers' first-and-only time with it.
Yeah that’s exactly it, imagine being judged for your first ever build in a dark souls game, putting sever handicaps on yourself and being proud you beat the game and then Reddit users crawl out of the woodwork to call your build shit. I don’t back Elon, there’s just a lot more reasonable things to insult him over than his first playthrough build.
@@nickr8662 id say it’s mostly cause he claims to be so great, if he was normal and was like” hey this is my first run and i beat the game with this, might play through again” and it’s completely fine
I'm not sure if Elon's build is so terrible that it issues a huge challenge. After all, he of all people did finish the game (presumably). HOWEVER, the only reasons someone would post their build is either A) it's unique in an interesting way, or B) you want bragging rights/internet points, and he failed both of these things monumentally. Moonveil by itself can win runs easier than some other weapon choices. It's one step below Rivers of Blood. The only reason he doesn't have Mimic Tear is probably because he didn't find the area that has it, and that could also be the case for Rivers of Blood. If he thinks overloading himself with pointless armor/multiple weapons gives him bragging rights, he's horribly mistaken. As a side note, I'm no purest, and I'm possibly the farthest thing from an Elden Ring pro. I might also use 'easy mode' builds, so I don't judge anybody who uses these things. However, Elon deserves to be clowned on, because he definitely posted this in some attempt to brag. He's not the type to want wholesome engagement, like 'hey guys I beat Elden Ring, here's my character, what are some of your builds? : ) '. ALSO not critiquing the video, I like your style & voice! And it's a challenge to try and build a character from the start using Elon's end game build. Reaching that point with a bunch of limiters is cool, and most certainly not what Elon did while he went through the game.
i got the suspicion he made the build the same way he would make a build for a top down reat-time strategy rpg. the character was probably leveled up by some intern. cause if you see the build from the pov of a baldur's gate or an old 90s rpg, it wouldn't be that weird, with the heavy weight not being that much of a hassle znd trying to equip as much as possible. like it is clear the last game he played was some computer game from the 90s. he is your average boomer asking " how do i make nintendo jump?" when playing metal gear.
"Neglecting his kids" is a bit too much credit. He actively emotionally abuses his trans daughter because how's a cis guy gonna live vicariously through that?
first this guy cheeses elden ring, then he shits on elon musk. i have no choice but to subscribe and stan. and that avatar?? incredibly accurate. props to you man, one can only hope elon sees this and sheds a single tear of embarrassment in between him arguing with randos on twitter and his (former?) bestie mr trump
you can cheese moongrum by leading him away from the elevator, then running passed him onto the elevator such that it gets too high up before he can get on there with you, the AIs dont understand verticality, so he will still try to get you and end up yeeting himself down the elevator shaft. also his shield drops directly to your inventory so you dont miss out on anything by doing this.
Hearing you shit talk Lusat's staff so much felt like some whiplash, especially since it has the highest damage potential except for Prince of Death's at 80int+faith, at least for base game catalysts. I remember the OG int shenanigan was Lusat's, infinite fp tear, terra magicka, comet Azur
It's really shit outside of your mentioned niche though (most bosses are too mobile for that to guaranteed work). Too FP inefficiënt for ~11% more damage compared to Carian Regal Sceptre at the same INT investment.
@@MLWJ1993 Yeah, Lusat's is pretty much just the minmax option for bossing. You slap a staff with a unique boost in the offhand, then use Lusat's in the main hand for the higher mod and its passive effect. It is trash for just clearing stuff though, it's just for bosskilling
I think you should make a list of your favorite builds. You said his build was trash. Be interesting to see what you prefer. Also yet again great video.

I promise you that he didn't do any of these bosses. He for sure paid people to just drop him weapons. There is absolutely no chance elon played any of this game legitimately. He also probably summoned as many people as possible to fight the bosses while staying out of it
I just want to know where Musk's supporters think he is getting all the time to play all these games. He's a super busy billionaire running multiple companies and ruling the world and yet he is somehow finding the time to play all of these technical games which require literally dozens of hours to play. There is just no time for alk of that
He clearly isn't even remotely busy. He is constantly tweeting. But also no he doesn't play video games, he pays people to play for him which is fucking weird

Flasks on the hot bar is low key genius.. I've always played that way.. in a fight doesn't matter what's on the quick menu your red and blue will always be one click away.. I know you can hold down on the Dpad to reset the quick menu. But you never have to reset the quick menu because your health is always available
Elon’s gaming is like the rest of his career. He pays people more talented than himself to do things that he’s incapable of then takes credit for it as if it’s his achievement.
17:00 in that room if you go to where the elevetor shaft is you can activate it from there and brings you to the grace next to Godrick’s boss fight without dealing with the birds took me like 4 runs to find that out
I appreciate theeffort however just one issue, you may not have been able to cast spells the first boss but you can still attack with the brass shield shouldve just used the shield start to finish of that boss
Check out Quin69TV's recent video on Elon's PoE2 build. Clearly exposed for boosting. Getting made fun of for his terrible Elden Ring build really shook him and now he pays people to make high level builds in other games and passes them off as his own.
*Elon Musk fat-rolls* is as equally damaging as *Trump eats well-done steaks with ketchup* As an American, who uses fast-rolling melee builds (as George Washington and God intended), am I disgusted by these mens choices.
What's impressive to me is how easy this build is to fix. Just cut the excess INT, MND and DEX for more VIG, STR and END. This removes the need for soreseal and you can replace it with great jar's arsenal so you still get that extra carry load benefit from that slot, then improve crimson amber medallion to crimson seed medallion because extra HP from healing flasks is more total HP than starting out with extra HP, and the graven school to graven mass. Keep turtle talisman. Keep the same armor set he has, keep moonveil and lusat's and even rogier's if you want or replace rogiers' with cleanrot's for a straigh upgrade of the same category, and instead of two medium shields equip a buckler. This can all be done as a Lvl 111 prisoner which is what he had and you'd achieve 40 vigor, 25 endurance, 30 mind and 52 INT with the help of the twinsage crown. And you'd medium roll. And you keep the essence of the build intact.
Also... YOU DONT USE THE HOTBAR?!? Man. ME. I have my crimson flask in my very first equipment slot. That way when i scrolling through, if you HOLD dpad down, it AUTOMATICALLY goes to the first thing equipped.... then on my hotbar. I have my cerulean flask, on dpad down, physic is dpad right. And i also have torrent on my up hotbar.... the the left slot is for my lantern... its so convenient, and stops you from having to do all that dammed scrolling lol
I used a Moonveil and brass shield and the renalla’s staff in my first playthrough. Then I used Lusat’s staff and some other modifiers the second playthrough cuz bosses die fast with it. Start by drinking the infinite FP cracked tear and Comet Azur the bosses with Lusat’s staff. I would switch between that staff and renallas depending on the spell and my FP situation. Then I started playing without using so much magic with a faith strength. It took me a few playthroughs to not use magic or shields. I beat 100% of the game 7 times at this point now and I’m pretty decent now.
Relatable, I also insisted on grinding for Lusat because it looks great on paper with zero regard for how practical it is for general use. It's the best +10 weapon collecting dust in my mage's inventory

Until he decided to stream himself playing the game and it showed the dude hardly understood anything about the game much less knew enough to be a top 100,000 player much less top 10 seeing how he didn't know how to work a map. How to work the inventory system. Didn't know to pick up the rarest type of currency in the game just walked right past it. Was single handedly grabbing items and dragging them one by one into his inventory. Would go into dungeons with no inventory space. And worse of all thought that because you had to be at a certain level to use a certain piece of equipment that it meant the items he was using in the game weren't that good because he was level 97 and he was like using a staff that you needed to be like level 56 to use. So he goes on and on about his staff not being that good and low level same with his other gear. Yet he's literally using the best things possible for his build. 😂 I guess we can expect a bad build from a guy who wants to take away funding for cancer research for children
I think the funniest, saddest thing is that he really didn't need to post the build. Like, who earnestly gives a damn about Elon Musk's Elden Ring build? Why would anyone care about a CEO's video game habits in general? And yet, Musk posting his build (and the recent stream that proved, demonstrably, he's paying people to game for him) indicates that it matters a *whole* lot to Musk that people believe he has any kind of gaming skills. Like, it matters *so* much to him that he throws money at it to try and sell this fable, and he still fails at it.

13:33 “suck my Tesla”
I can just imagine Elon saying after beating every boss he beats
Beating a game like that with a build like that's actually kind of impressive ngl
The assumption that Elon didn't summon the max possible gank squad worth of help for every single boss is WILD.
Reaching that point with a bunch of limiters is cool, and most certainly not what Elon did while he went through the game.
purist
I can already sense the aneurysms occurring in this video. Yikes
i got the suspicion he made the build the same way he would make a build for a top down reat-time strategy rpg. the character was probably leveled up by some intern. cause if you see the build from the pov of a baldur's gate or an old 90s rpg, it wouldn't be that weird, with the heavy weight not being that much of a hassle znd trying to equip as much as possible. like it is clear the last game he played was some computer game from the 90s. he is your average boomer asking " how do i make nintendo jump?" when playing metal gear.
"Neglecting his kids" is a bit too much credit. He actively emotionally abuses his trans daughter because how's a cis guy gonna live vicariously through that?
Funny how he's all about free speech but if you wrote that comment on his platform it would get censored for the word cis lol

you can cheese moongrum by leading him away from the elevator, then running passed him onto the elevator such that it gets too high up before he can get on there with you, the AIs dont understand verticality, so he will still try to get you and end up yeeting himself down the elevator shaft. also his shield drops directly to your inventory so you dont miss out on anything by doing this.

Flasks on the hotbar are the one thing in this build that is better than most, if we’re including the mapping. The last thing you want to be doing when out of FP or low on health is fumble for an item.

@Thanatos2996 that sounds really convenient
I don't know why it isn't common practice to put the flasks in the hot slots with the torrent summon. It's so much easier than scrolling through your quick item slots to find them. It's so much more consistent once you're used to using them from there.

I had no idea there was even an overloaded status, the highest I got to was heavy load.
You mean the Taiwanese guys playing for Elon's TERRIBLE build...
You forgot to say he's also a voice actor/actor. Cheating/pretending to do stuff is basically what those kinds of people are all about.
Watching you fight the magma wyrm was genuinely one of the most nerve wracking watches of my life.
Relatable, I also insisted on grinding for Lusat because it looks great on paper with zero regard for how practical it is for general use. It's the best +10 weapon collecting dust in my mage's inventory
