- Poznań (German: Posen) / Poland is a major city in the west of the country. Located between Berlin and Warsaw is well connected with trains, roads and a local airport. As a major economic hub Poznan also offers a vibrant atmosphere and good nightlife thanks to a large student population.
This time we walk from the train station to the city center. A bit of a different walk as we just arrived in Poznan. Suprised by the construction at the Rynek this walk is a bit shorter, though a longer one is coming up.

Thank you! On short trips I can carry a small and light backpack that makes starts at train stations and the walk from there possible. With my full gear, also traveling with a laptop etc., I have to go to the hotel first. Poznan and Wroclaw are my favorite cities near Germany so I return there several times a year usually. With all the construction at the Rynek it's a different look than usual

Polish cities are so big and spacious with grand architecture, why do poles move here to the UK ?.
There used to be economic reasons to work in the UK in the early 2000's. Now with booming cities like Warsaw and a generall OK economy in Poland I guess several Poles will also consider returning to Poland. Still, commuting for work is common as one can see with the flight connections to Scandinavia in northern Poland.
