I've watched Better Things since episode 1, season 1. I was immediately hooked. Pamela Adlon is a genius, the show is a work of art. The show is really about every family in America--not in the sense that we all live in Hollywood, rubbing elbows with celebrities in very liberal minded professions. It's about American families in the respect that we don't all grow up in nuclear families where the mom dresses in skirts, heels and pearls to scrub the toilet. As Americans, we don't have a singular ethnic background and we're often a Heinz 57 mix of influences. We don't all get along with everyone in the family all the time-we fight, we argue, we make up. And we all have something really messed up in our childhoods. Maybe that isn't the norm for 100% of us, but it's more truth than fiction for the majority of us. In the end, we all really love each other even when we have a different way of showing it. I want a t-shirt that says "F*CK Anatole's Mom!"
Better Things is fantastic and the most REAL show on TV! I'm sad that it is ending, but I'm glad I saw this because I didn't know about the podcast. I can't wait to check that out!
Always looking for other Better Things fans to share my delight of the show. I cannot express how fabulous, real, touching, deep, insightful, creative is the show, and it has great music. As one of three sisters, who grew up in LA, I RELATE.
This woman is incredibly talented. Better Things? There's been no better a television series ever than Adlon's. I'm looking forward to her next project.
I love Better Things. Bummed that it's ending :( It's made me a big fan of Pamela, she seems awesome. I'm looking forward to seeing where her career will take her next. ☺
I have been binge watching for 3 days and going strong (staying in bed due to a fall helps, dog's fault). She was brilliant in Californication as Marcy Runkles and slays it as Sam Fox. This would of being me IF I ever decided to have kids, I chose fur babies. If I was in the audience you would have heard me cheering. The writing is so witty, sharp, real and so funny. And I grew up in a "dynamic moody family" as the youngest and my mom did it ALL. Dad not so much and then after years later thank God we reconciled. Why is it so hard for dads to step up?
I’m obsessed with Better Things and Pamela Adlon! I’m going to relive the last season via the podcast, then going to rewatch the whole series. So fun to see Pamela on the tonight show. Thanks for being you!!
Goddess. My hero. This season was almost unbearable in its beauty. My life's dream is to spend one hour with her and ask her a million questions. As I writer, I stand in awe of her absolute brilliance. ❤️
Looking forward to more content from Pam. This was pure genius that won't be appreciated enough for decades. Oh well, Emily Dickinson had the same problem and her art is still celebrated.
It's one of the few, of not only TV shows (Better Things) that FINALLY brought the sit-com and soap genre kicking and screaming into the 21st century. Most movies and TV just rehash tired old 20th century tropes and types. Pamela made brave fearless giant steps to get us finally out of that old tabloid-brain loop. She's a hero to say the least.
This show is good, I started watching it by accident. I love it, its so good and raw and real. You may have to be a parent to really appreciate some of the episodes.
I like the kids a lot. You have to watch them with empathy. They represent a lot of kids. So be good towards them and give them credit . They will actually grow up. They are just kids for God sake.
They were so entitled and annoying, but life helps them mellow out by the end of it. Frankie is the least mellow, but even they got slightly less annoying by the end!
Why, why should a great show like this end? Stupid network letting a good show get away from them and leave the network ! I looked forward to this show every week! I'm very particular about what shows I watch because I don't like wasting my time or my life with a pathetic show! I watch Better Things and Better Call Saul, and both are going off the air. Well thanks alot it's like telling my adolescent me that my childhood character ARCHIE ANDREWS is DEAD AGAIN! DAMMIT
i like the meat of the show her daughters make me want to throttle the world so doesnt mean its bad its a bit cloying for me im glad when she drops out a scene with her humor yet she is such a soppy woman makes me cringe but most of it is funny its good it does hold my attention
i dont mind that they didnt overtly address covid its tv its supposed to be escapism to a point ive been dreading how covid would dominate things i didnt mind the bubble yet its not that i dont face it daily its that its still bad i like that shes saying its ongoing stephen colbert just shut down his fucking show for fucks sake because people are engaging in cognitive dissonance and saying fuck it most of the time im sure it had something to do with his decision just because you tried to capitalize on a worldwide pandemic and the horror and the feelings involved doesnt mean that im gonna fucking watch it im feeling it right now for me its a mixture of hope for the future and nostalgia when a show has the budget to obviously test and shut down and still produce a story outside of the reminder of covid protocols which are still so fucking necessary for the good of the entire population and im sad that dumb people look at that at these people producing entertainment just to think well they dont look worried must be fine for me to not give a shit about humanity yet its kinda like painting a painting and being upset about how people interpret it sorry to ramble
I found the defecation/feminine odor references in various scenes/lines of the series finale vile and disgusting. That’s what I’ll always remember about S5 E10 of Better Things. I suspect that the twisted obsession with writing toilet functions/gross smells content into the farewell episode is likely s parting shot “artistic contribution” from the vile & disgusting creature known as Louis C.K.
I feel like Jimmy had to say those Reviews to remind himself what show he's plugging for her. Other than that, I bet he has NO IDEA who he's talking to. XD

🤣 I’m sure Adlon would be down, she’s on IG message her about the shirt idea.
Oh I'd LOVE that shirt...
Better Things is fantastic and the most REAL show on TV! I'm sad that it is ending, but I'm glad I saw this because I didn't know about the podcast. I can't wait to check that out!
I've never done a podcast but now I will!

And they ended the series with "Always look on the bright side of Life" - brilliant
I’m obsessed with Better Things and Pamela Adlon! I’m going to relive the last season via the podcast, then going to rewatch the whole series. So fun to see Pamela on the tonight show. Thanks for being you!!
Just watched the finale. Cried so much. I legitimately love Pamela and the beautiful show she created. ❤️
I adore Pamela and her work. Such an icon, I cant wait to tune into the podcast! Much love!!!!
Jimmy is such a huge fan of Grease 2. Has he ever discussed it with Pamela Adlon, who played Dolores? Does he even realize it's her?
[]I just looked her up and found out she was in grease 2 plus she was on facts of life. And her daughter is in a few movie and something about pam

Going to have to record a bunch of Adlon's "ooofs" for the future hard times...
I lothe Jimmy Fallon, but I'm in love Pamela Aldon...
I just want to know what the name of the last song was??? The music that was playing as the El Camino was driving off. What is that song???
J’adore ce genre d’émission américaine

Love her so much! Turn off your robots people.
#iLOVEpamelaadlon #baddiemama #myhero 😎
I just started watching this show, because I love her as a actress. I like her, but I can't stand her kids. Tell me it will get better!
I like the kids a lot. You have to watch them with empathy. They represent a lot of kids. So be good towards them and give them credit . They will actually grow up. They are just kids for God sake.

wheres charlie runkle
"Better Things" is better on Rotten Tomatoes than even Jimmy's little show.
That's Spinelli from Recess.
It’s the Pam from that Archer show

What is wrong with this audience?
Jimmy is so insincere and cringe ALWAYS but especially in comparison to the queen Pamela Adlon
I feel like Jimmy had to say those Reviews to remind himself what show he's plugging for her. Other than that, I bet he has NO IDEA who he's talking to. XD
