@@TwoRedPassports Denmark's cycling infra is impressive, but nothing compared to Holland. Holland has over 30.000km of separated cycling lanes, while Denmark has 7000km while also being a larger country overall (not in population but in mass).
I didn't find the numbers but I am pretty sure that in Germany there much more km and ways for bicycles (everywhere?) than in Holland / Denmark.
@@ricarmig Do you live or have you lived in Germany? In terms of cycling infrastructure, Germany pales in comparison to both Holland and Denmark. The only German state/province that has a decent amount of cycling roads is NRW in my opinion.
@@bloodieown Yes I do, every city (big or small) and on all the country parallel to streets, there are streets for bicycles (Bavaria for example) as on farm fields. I never was on Denmark but in Holland (I was at least 5 times) I cannot say that they have more ways, only that as the country is very flat and small, more people go on bicycle, in Germany it is usual that you work 100 km from where you live, so no bicycle here 😉

Very good - thank you. Great to see you allowed sufficient distance/speed to slow down/stop as necessary/required. Plus it's completely acceptable to stop and simply walk with the scooter for a few minutes, as and when required. Mine might come today at 3 pm or tomorrow at 9 am or 3 I'm so excited I hope it comes today 😀😀
Did it come in today? :D
oh yeah. how was it?
Nice clip! Watched it before buying same machine recently. I guess battery life is pretty good and nothing to worry about: I made a 24km trip, which drained it from 100% to 20%. But I'm approx 95kg so it sounds fair enough to me that it doesn't run that long as it would for someone around 50kg :) Can't help it against laws of physics! But if you're lightweight enough, the actual range may reach near the one in specifications.
It was rather windy day, which probs increased air friction as I'm not short, drove mostly full throttle at Sports mode (no speed hacks). It was mostly flat ground but there were also occasional steeper climbings. I guess using Drive mode I'd get even more range out of it considering my weight.
The thing becomes weaker when battery levels drop below some 30-40% but I guess this is as expected. Was still able to carry me at 25kph on flat ground, while it became slower moving uphills on lower battery level.
I got Xiaomi 3 yesterday and with full charge, it took me around 11 km. I'm 95kg of weight as well and it was wet weather and lots of wind against me but again... What do you think, is it normal and will improve if I drive it on a nicer day? :) Or maybe I should ask the store directly if there is something wrong? I wish it would at least take me 20 km from the advertised 30 on a single charge.
@@milanzivkovic2896 check tyre pressure mate, it's a very big mistske, i had same issue the tyres weren't filled with the correct pressure
@@oktvrec Thanks for reply. My tire broke after 6 days of owning the scooter so I replaced it with a non inflatable one and saw no difference. Also, while driving with a flat tire (it took me one whole day to realize it was flat :'D) distance decreased from 12 to 8 km with a full charge. So yeah, bad tires can affect it drastically, but still I guess not enough to reduce an advertised distance of 30 km to merely 12 km. I think there is something wrong with battery. That's just my luck. If it does not improve, I'll just have to complain to the seller. :(
@@milanzivkovic2896 hey how long were u riding for
@@jaydenthorne5600 For a month now. Not reaching over 12 km on a full charge. I tried to return it for a check but they were closed. On my way back home, a bicycle rider hit me riding like 40 km/h and I fell off the scooter. It got a bit dented and thankfully I broke nothing. I hope they won't deny the warranty because of that, it did not affect the battery, it still rides the same lenght. :|

Probably not the best two things to compare 😃 but you can always hack the software of the scooter and make it faster
@TwoRedPassports
Hey man glad you're in for the humor; yes for this comparasion I was actually inspired by Alien rides who once really did a video of a Rion vs. a street scooter, of course with no serious background at all but at least the Xiaomi is being legalized riding on the street while I'm personally always having an utterly hard time not getting pulled over with these slick tires, additionally in one of the worst and bureaucratic European countries ever to ride such a machine; well big fun must always come with big burden..
For some one who lives in the UK this is a different world. I wish i lived in a country as accepting as yours. We just have old dinosaur laws and make everything really shitty here then punish people more and more for sticking with cars and ripping them off. Cruise control activates when you hold down the throttle for a certain amount of time, and once it does the scooter will automatically apply throttle until you brake or pressure the throttle again.

So smooth the roads. Not full of potholes!
If a pothole has been reported by a citizen, the city has 3 working days to fix it or any suspension brake downs as result of a reported, but not fixed, pothole, has to be covered by the city. That rule very quickly made Danish local city road administration´s cost/benefit analysis very different and pothole problems disappeared. The rule ofc. does not apply if road under construction/maintenance work from other admins, such as gas/electricity etc etc. You get what I mean.
