Because electron is itself a fundamental particle.. So how can we consider superposition of a lot no. Of waves for electron.... Or the answer is follow Wave packet shap is in analogy with a wave which is same as in superposition of a lot no. Of waves that's why we use concept of superposition of waves for wave packet?
