as a hoh person the captions actually drive me up the wall because that's not captioning, that's an interjection? imo because captions are necessary they shouldn't be used for flavor or to generate new content (like I wouldn't want someone's commentary included in image descriptions either). and obviously it's fine if some people think its fun but I personally think it sucks that I can't access the media I want to watch without someone adding quirky, gifable jokes that aren't part of the original content. it just feels disrespectful to the fact that captions are a basic need and not like... a fun element dropout can use as a gimmick to bring in more views
@@astroqueer2353 Really? I hadn't ever considered it like that. As a non native english speaker I use the captions because I need them, yeah, I can't always understand what they say just from the audio, but the jokes in the captions have never bothered me, since they always distinguish it from the captured audio (with parenteses usually) and just in general aren't really out there things, they usually match the tone of the episode and capture the energy of the moment. I think it's actually a nice way of translating some of the tonal jokes you don't always get with just a transcript. But I get that viewpoint too, it can be hard to adjust to it if you aren't used to it and depend upon the captions, but do you really think they hinder and make understanding the episode more difficult?

This Adventuring Party episode is so nostalgic to me, really invokes the feeling of "I've been up 24 hours, and I've spent the last 8 to 12 with a group of my friends, and we've been eating and having a blast and laughing the entire time, and now we're high off the laughter and right on the brink of passing out".

I knew that this was an S-tier the moment Jake Wysocki, an amazing form of improv chaos, says that THIS is his breaking point 2:44 also the contrast between Alex's calm "tacocat" and Izzy's scream was beautiful
Brennan mentioned somewhere how he has the ability to push through bits, and most of the time he really can. But the “psychic lobotomy” that he asked the rest of the Intrepid Heros to perform, and this whole AP really show how other people can drag him down when they won’t let the bit die.

Rekha was so freaking hilarious for this bit. She just can't be stopped; she got randomly pregnant and gave birth during her first Sidequest season; later one she took a dump on Grant's character to try to save his life, now she's mad her roll for oils on a sweaty t-shirt couldn't be thrown in front of a car her character was driving going 4,000 mph without a near impossible roll succeeding.
Randomly? You know session 0 stuff happens right?
Getting pregnant and giving birth was far from the most random choice she made during Bloodkeep. I think it bears repeating that she was giving birth WHILE FALLING OUT OF AN AIRSHIP. And that the elf-balloon still trumps that in hilarity and absurdity.

I love this season so much. I was eating soup wheb Izzy said "Laguna beach" in the episode and I inhaled so much on a laugh that I started choking really badly. Thankfully I'd finished the soup by the time I watched the adventuring party episode or this bit probably would have killed me
