A top10 GOAT SF! Barry gets underrated/overlooked a lot nowadays but in spite of everything, he was just a terrific baller and had an amazing career.
He led a team to a championship while playing in dominant fashion, he was top5 in MVP voting a few times, handful of times All-NBA 1st, bunch of times All-Star, scoring champ once, also top5 in assists once, plus leader in steals once, 4th in FT% in NBA history, and did his thing in the ABA too!
Rick was a big time shooter, was great at creating his own shot (in many ways), he was athletic, could handle the rock, was a great passer, had the footwork and the soft touch, one of the GOAT free throw shooters, played defense and rebounded, was clutch, had an extremely high basketball IQ…
Furthermore, his playing style (as a small forward) helped to influence generations after him.. you still see it today! Matter of fact, you see it today more than ever; a whole bunch of “SF types” that have the ball in their hands most of the time, take the most shots, playmake, so on…..

And he had a Strom Thurmond and Jesse Helms mentality.
