I knew you would be on point with this!! The patch just dropped and here you got us covered with all the Ryu Buffs!!! I appreciate this very much…thanks! I’m on my way to Diamond rank with this one!!!
I came here first as soon as work ended to get a quick ryu rundown! I like all the changes, only thing I would have loved even more is having the light fireball slowed down a bit.
I felt the heavy high blade kick & 2mk => hadouken are the main reason lower rank Ryu players struggle and have bad win rate. Everyone knows how to deal with Ryu especially those two moves, pre balance patch. Now post update patch, it should give them more sauces and options to pick in neutral. 👍
@johnsida4499 finaly means real good buffs, we want olny Ryu in the same level or more stronger than Akuma and Ken, that's it, he is the main protagonist, the face of SF, and in history he is strong AF, you undestand now?
Agree. Its like Capcom finally realized they need to make their poster boy(s) good. The face of the game should definitely be strong. Speaking of which, Luke also got buff which is ... good I guess? Luke is the face of sf6 so we need him to be good, possibly as close to Ryu as possible.
Ryu will still be mid, he will never get the buffs he needs to be top tier. He's too slow, slow drive rush, weak fireballs, still has weak corner carry, weaker cr mk compared to others, and still won't be able to beat guile.
@MalamIbnMalam Ryu now has more midscreen options. Even the patch notes acknowledged that he now has more stability than Ken or Akuma . However, ken and Akuma have more mix upsin the corner. This is a wonderful balance. Ryu has more stability but they have more corner mix ups. At this point it's 50 50.
Helps high comp play a bit, but isn't entirely game changing. If he can simply receive a fire ball buff or an improvement on DR, he will be top tier and viable.
Ryu's number 1 problem is 6 of his special attacks can all be defeated by the same way, standing block. That's pretty bad character design. None of the higher tier characters including Terry has that problem but Capcom still refuse to not do anything for Ryu. Sad as it may be but it's clear that Capcom has completely locked down their mentality on how they want things to be. They really don't care unless they lose out on money. It's all about money.
a glorius day to you machoor & all ryu mains

DI in the corner or heavy hasho gives DR mp / hp -> DC 2HP -> Heavy High Blade Kick -> _Heavy_ DP ... used to only be light DP

Just waiting all day for the machoor video 😅🤣
We Ryu mains eating good now!
We might see Ending Walker go back to Ryu.
When I hear stability, I believe Capcom means a character's ability to withstand counterattacks and hold their ground.
Kusanagi now Will smoke eveyone. Finanly Ryu get buffs.
Dude Ryu got buffed every major patch since the launch, what do you mean "finally"

@@ultrainstinct4766 The s2 buffs were good smh, the problem was just the sheer stupidity of akuma and ken to a lesser extent at that time
Ryu is my main 👍
thanks for breaking it down machoor
My new Ryu flowchart: H. Donkey kick into block. When I start seeing a response, H. Donkey kick into Reversal.
Kusanagi about to cook at capcom cup
I want to see diago pick up back ryu after these buffs
Don't worry. He most definitely will
@@universalman5861do you think Ryu will be on par with Akuma or Ken after these buffs, not too sure about that

I was hoping for faster hado recovery and a better dr

Does this mean that Ryu can kill with two combos on certain character like Akuma?
🤔…the damage will give ryu some comeback and robbery and with the nerfs to the others will make things interesting.
The new heavy kick tatsu combo has a damage problem. No matter what tatsu you use all the damage is the same. Light, med, heavy all the same
I was waiting for this video. I left Jimmy to see this. LFG!!!
Is heavy blade kick still a safe jump setup?
light blade kick
There’s safe jump setups for both (opponent must be airborne for heavy blade kick to be a safe jump setup). And yes they still work
Can someone remind me how to activate the red/blue character highlighting in training mode?
Still wont see ryu in tournaments. The buffs are cool and all, but they just wont buff what he actually needs to be viable for a pro.

people who like to hit you out of Blocked Hp/cr.mk into heavy hasho can now be mixed up with heavy blade kick. Di still beats both of course though
