Hello Andy, thanks for the comment. Glad the video helped. Reguarding your question, I usually film in landscape in 4k resolution, and I film my subject keeping the frame a bit wider. at the 8 min mark, when you talk about plugging the phone into the gimble - is this a required step? or is it merely a way to charge your phone?

This is the most useful tutorial so far. I have this device and despite @mamoair efforts, it still gives me some trouble, sometimes its like it have a willl of its own. sometimes when I push the mode button it stays in the L mode, anybody knows why this happens?

Thank you so much for this video! I was stuck previously getting it into position so I could read it. Your video gave me the confidence to put a little muscle into and not be afraid to break something! now to figure out a cord connection and I wish they included that in the box. the one supplied is for charging to a wall. I would love to see a video using filmic pro with this gimbel.

I have had this gimbal for 2 years and never used it. I couldn’t figure out how it worked! I watched RUclips video after video and still couldn’t figure it out until today. With that setup you can't use a dji mic adapter on ur iPhone right ? Because you don't have space betweeen the iPhone and the gimbal

Cheers mate. Before watching this tutorial I've turned the gimbal on before unlocking the locks and it started shaking is it bad ? Looks fine now though

FYI -If you press and hold the Function (Fn) Button on the side when you have the magnetic lights and built-in turned on, it will turn on ONLY the built-in light. If you press it when the lights are off, it will turn on ONLY the magnetic mount lights! Not sure why you would want this, but options are always a good thing.

Just like many phones my galaxy s22 ultra also have 0.6 wide angle lens. I would like to film in 0.6x mode but you video shows StaCam zoom range starts from 1x. Is it possible to film in 0.6x mode?

I just bought this Gimbal. On my samsung Galaxy s20 this is the case: In the Stacam app I can choose between the regular lens and the ultrawide lens (and selfie lens) . The telephoto lens is not an option. When zooming it seems like the app does not switch between lenses but zooms digitally.
On the other Zhiyun app - ZY Cami - only the regular lens and selfie lens are available.
You can also use the phones regular camera app or another camera app. Then you can switch between lenses and use the one you want, but you have to do it from the phone screen. The gimbal can only controll start stop recording/take photo in my samsung camera app. The zoom wheel does not work there.
All this might be different on another phone model, I have only tested it on my s20.

it would be dope if they added the phones male connector towards the motor, this way you can slide the phone into the socket for it to charge and as another way to connect to the gimbal

Great idea, has been attempted but many users often broke that male connector off too easily. Cable is easier to replace than the board with the usb male port plug.

Has anyone tried the gimbal with out Electronic Image Stabilization. Why is it so wobbly?
Its disappointing to buy a $200 Dolar gimbal that expects my phone to do the main purpuse of the gimbal.
These gimbal companies are going down hill in quality.

Everytime I turn ON my gimbal and it is away blink red, so how do I know when it is full charge ?
When the gimbal is charging, all of indicator light stays solid, the charging is complete.
Is there a time lapse option?

how to set the frame rate to 60 fps?
The resolution depends on the phone model, maybe you can use the gimbal to control the native camera to record video.
