Nice cards! I'm actually working on a set of cards, though of a slightly different kind. Few days ago a psychologist contacted me asking if I could help her make a set of assosiative cards (also known as OH cards), which is some kind of a tool for psychology sessions. All 88 (!!) of them should be in a similar style and specific color scheme, and each card is supposed to rise specific assosiations, emotions, memories, etc. It turned out to be a pretty hard and time consuming task. A lot of complications come from the need to use angel wings (as it's the main theme and angelic blond girl should be in most of them), and apparently Midjourney fails to process wings in some views (especially if angel is seen from behind - they end up growing from chest). Also some specific cards are really hard to pinpoint. Like, it took forever to get anything relevant for "choose between responsibilities and desires" concept. She wanted something like a heart and a brain in female hands or maybe on scales, but seems like I totally failed to explain to Midjourney that one thing has to be in left hand/side of scales and other thing is in other hand/side of scales. At best it was two objects on top of each other held in both hands or on top/under the empty scales. Another complication that it refuses to draw brains even if it's metaphorical brain that opposes feelings. Same problem when request was to show metaphor for breathing freely in form of flowers blooming in lungs/chest/ribs, but it kept forbidding request because of "gore" that wasn't even intended. But! Sometimes it just randomly pops out nearly (or totally) naked angel ladies even if request has "dressed in modest clothing". Today just about every second attempt with "angel trapped in a spider web" resulted in nudes. And that's absolutely not what we need in a card set intended mostly for teen girls 😅Now where are those filters when they are needed? Sorry about this long rant, but I thought maybe you runned into some similar issues and maybe some are not as unsolvable as they seem to me. Is there any magic word that makes angels always properly dressed, wings growing from correct side and specific items held in particular hand? I still have 70+ cards to make 😂
hahah I like stories like this. I have some thoughts for sure. - for pinpointing specific concepts, I think it would take you a lot less time to generate a few different objects/subjects and then construct the scene in another program like photoshop or canva. Like make the heart, make a brain, make the scale, and then place them together how you want - when you find midjourney seems like it's refusing to draw something, the first thing I would try is to include an image prompt. Go find a picture of a brain that looks vaguely similar to what you want -> upload it to discord -> copy the image address and then include that in your card art prompt. As far as the 'gore' thing goes, I would try appealing the prompt, and I find MJ typically lets the prompt go through. - and any quirk you find like nude angels is just a dataset issue. Meaning it was trained on a lot of images of angels and I think angels are quite commonly depicted as being free flowing. So it's just referencing what it knows. However, same solution as I just mentioned, go find an image of angel you like, or make one on MJ and use that in your prompts. Your angel will now look similar to the picture you provide
@@FutureTechPilot thanks a lot for advices! Actually, I tried exactly that: to make an approximate variation of what should be there in photoshop and feed it to Midjourney along with text input. Also for each card this client provided "somewhat similar" images from pinterest that she thinks represents her ideas. Problem is, it often doesn't come out as intended even with clear referense. Can't post links here probably, but here's a job id of perfect example with what I mean: 2556add4-a2c6-4994-a1cc-7d478ceaa507 - there I tried to use one of the previous versions of empty scales with two suitcases on each side. Yeah that's not the best iteration, that time I tried to make it as simple as possible, but it was after lots of "this thing on left side of the scales/one scalepan, that thing on the right side of the scales/other scalepan" variations, as well as different chaos value. Result was more or less eqaully useless. My lame photoshop skills might be an issue, or maybe wrong wording (I'm not native to English), but best I could get this way was scales placed on top of mentioned items even if photoshop clearly has them on scalepans. It feels like Midjourney defaults to stacking items vertically whenever it's not sure where to put them lol But in most cases referense image actually works pretty well. So far I got at least 30 cards done, and only couple I'm really not content about, this "must or want" card being one of them. Oh, and thanks, i didn't try appealing prompts yet, thought it would probably be pointless, but should give it a go. And yeah Midjourney definitely was trained on a lot of nude models with wings 😅It seems to confuse clothing and wings or hair and wings way, so winged head + naked bum combination happens way too often. Midjourney be like, "what? she has wings equipped, that means she's not naked by definition, so what's your problem?" 😂
@@HutchTouch416 Yeah, but you're talking about taking a 5 second process and turning it into a 40 second process. That means if it took me 5 years to solve a rubik's cube it would take you 40 years.

BTW (and I haven't finished watching this video yet so maybe you answer this question in the video) , I definitely do NOT like where MJ shows hands holding a subject we're prompting for where you just want the subject (such as cards). Have you found a prompt recipe which consistently prevents MJ from rendering hands holding the subject? Maybe something for us to work on and present if we find a good recipe to do that. And no, the "-- no" parameter is still shit IMO.
haha hmmm.. I agree, and I think it's probably impossible to do it through prompting. The only thing that might work is to make a concept design yourself, like crudely photoshop something together, then use that as an image prompt
