- In the middle of making "The Gypsy" violin, I was asked to do an advertisement for the State Bank of Southern Utah . They are nice, helpful people, so I replied, "Of course." Then, after it was all done, I realized that it was for me. ....Thanks.
Photographs of "The Gypsy" violin are now at: the-romantic-school-of-music.com

I love this channel as an enthusiast luthier and musician. Kevin is one of those few people that speaks in cursive
Thank you so much for your comment. I live in a different world than most, and I love what i do.

The hands of the luthier make this world better and unique. I just can say Bravo!, artist
Thank you. I am honored.
Just subscribed after watching the Jared + Ellie channel. Gorgeous violin, the tone was so rich! I've played for almost 20 years...it was truly incredible.
I just discovered your videos and your work on You Tube. I am an adult beginner violin student (just started 2 months ago) and I appreciate your videos and your wit as well as the BEAUTIFUL violins you make. I may never afford one, but certainly appreciate your vision and attention to detail. Thanks!
The Gypsy looks simply amazing.
Great video! 😊
that ship violin..oh wow! I've just started playing and that is my dream violin!
I’ve just found your channel. I wish I knew you. Maybe I can take my next trip south to visit your shop. There’s so much to learn and I’ve been so deprived for so long, your work is outstanding and beautiful and unique. I would love to one day purchase a piece. 💕
I have always loved the sound/voice of the violin but sadly never decided to try and learn more and actually buy 1 until now. Better late than never. I'm 69 and have the time and desire now. Love your videos and looking forward to getting the books. Thank you
Thank you so much, and congradulations!
Wow! Violins with tattoos. Nice vid!
That was great! And the gypsy looks fantastic. You'll want to hyperlink the page though. :) make it easier for people to find
As a violin student financial crises hitting me a lot..... am looking for good violins but the financial situation... 😭 when i see his violin my soul is crying 😐
If your desire is great enough, keep watching. I will be making a couple videos on how to get a sponsor.
i'm ready to vote for u for president after seeing this
That's an interesting association to make, since it's a lot easier for me to get wood and varnish to do what I want than people. :)
Yet, thanks for the vote of confidence!
Hello Kevin
I am am artist, a painter a violinist
Very glad to see your violin
In my point of view violin is a such an instrument in which in every points art is there & I think you understand it well. That's why your violins are not only violin but also a piece of art work. Many congratulations and best wishes to you.
Awaiting when you will read my comment
Every day I am searching😧
@@ranjeetbanerjee3561Thank you so much for the compliment. I love simple, as well as the embellished instruments and am thrilled, especially when an artist appreciates the final product. Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. I'm in a neck brace after my spine surgery and I don't seem to get to everything that I should.
@@kevinleeluthier sorry to know about your surgery. Wishing you a speedy recovery. After that in Facebook I have send friend request to you, please accept it so that I will share something by fb messenger to inform you as well as to get knowledge from you. Hope a lot of knowledge a can get from you.
Thank you. Friend!
Hi,do you have g-mail i would like to ask you some questions.
Wow! Do you live in Southern Utah? I am a fiddler in Mesquite, would love to meet you and see your shop.
I do live in Southern Utah, outside any city limits. I apologize, but for now, (until I finish this collection of twelve themed instruments) my time is just too limited.
ever see the movie bronco billy with clint eastwood? you remind me of bronco billy
It's been so long, I barely remember it. But my grandfather worked in a wild west show, and I have always liked Clint Eastwood. So, thanks!
I'm curious, where did you learn how to make violins? I'm guessing somewhere in Italy, probably Cremona?
+The Turbanator I have visited and learned from many of the makers in Cremona, Italy (as well as many others around the world), though most makers simply wanted to teach me how to make copies (just like the violin school of America that I attended). So, in the end, while I have learned from everywhere that I can, most of my learning has been from the instruments of the old masters, themselves.
For the stupid question department..... You obviously make beautiful violins. Do you also make violas?
Tim O
PS
Love your videos.
A very late reply. Yes, I make and love Violas and Cellos also.
:)
I want to learn how to make violins from you.
Go to Cremona, Italy the town of Stradivari, Guarnieri and Amati. There are liuthers and schools too there...
DO you sell your violins?
I do. (please visit kevinleeluthier.com)
A violin starts around $35,000.00 US. There are no limits, and I apologize that there is a considerable waiting list.

Ok, let’s be honest
What is dragons blood?
A special trees resin, real blood from some kind of creature?
True dragon's blood comes from the legendary Dragon Tree (there are many species of dragon trees, yet the ones that look like dragons and take over a thousand years to mature are the "real" ones). Their sap flows like blood and the very best blood is hundreds of years old and comes from the black forest.
