So much fun to watch you put together this lovely sewing room!!! I'm a seamstress so it's certainly an interest of mine!!
Excellent job! And I find listening to you very relaxing, and I'm grateful for that too.
God bless!
Thank you so much. I love this room, I had so much fun creating it. It was bittersweet to be done with it. 🥰❤️
You look gorgeous today! Love your hair and your eyes are beautiful! Love your videos. 🙂
Thank you so much!! ☺️ now I'm blushing..thank you for watching I'm so glad you enjoyed it!!!🥰💖
When your pet bird squeaked, I thought it was a hawk attacking the pigeons on my roof that I'd just fed, thank goodness it did it again, I was panicking. They do (falcons or hawks, despite being in London) occasionally take a pigeon but I thought I'd lost one there, I always feel sorry for them. I think you are a brilliant, inspirational miniaturist and I think you deserve a whole lot more subscribers as every single video gives me new ideas (and not about hawks offing my pigeons lol!)❤
😂😂 Oh My! Thank goodness it wasn't that scenario, I would feel bad too. Thank you so much for your kind comment. I'm so glad you enjoy my channel. I always wished I was from the UK and not US. For years I would go around talking with a British accent, I call it "proper english" 😂 My friends all joined in..it was very contagious..and we gave each other British Names..I was given Tarapyn Sofie. 🤭💕🥰
Born and raised in Iowa, still here too…lol. I never knew in that picture that they were not husband and wife, what a surprise!
I do have the same gramophone and fan, you given me some good ideas, thanks for that!
I of course loved everything you made Jolene! I don’t think I could pick a favorite but if I had to it would be the men’s shelf with ties.
Glad to hear you were keeping your first plant that you made. Thanks for another great video!! 😃
Thank you so much, Im so glad I have inspired you. Yes, I believe the house is in Eldon, Iowa. Now there's a museum..I realized that I forgot to post a pic of the house because I was working so late.
The phonograph, I thought I said it wrong, but apparently, it just depends on where you live🥰 I'm so glad you are inspired to recreate yours as well. My favorite is the shelf too 😍 Thank you Beth!💖
The ties are a darling touch. My husband died a decade ago. His hat still hangs by the front door.
Oh, so sorry to hear that and yet so bittersweet, Margo knows the feeling!🥰🥹
Love the American Gothic Easter egg.
I always learn so much from you. Your aesthetic is right up my alley. I love your aging and finishing techniques.
I am crazy about the details on the Temu fan! The tiny toggle switch blows my mind. I'm glad you figured out it comes apart.
The tie shelf is amazing. The details on the belt are so realistic.
I love what you did with your Temu sewing box.
What a perfect room 😮
🥹🤗Thank You so much! It's so amazing when you outdo your expectations or underestimate yourself, which is what I do all the time. Your comments and support means the world to me. I hope you recreate your fan as well. It was super fun!! And the scraps used for the table and shelf..made perfect lil handmade rustic pieces! I much rather make those kind of Minis! 😆😍🥰💖
Not to mention I'm always learning from you!🥰💖🫶🏽
Hey I had to come back and suggest a tip about making fake canvas for pictures that I just remembered! What worked (purely accidentally at first, but now one of my favourite easy tricks) I used a coarse brush to brush tacky glue in only vertical strokes over a picture. When that was dried I then repeated with only horizontal strokes and allowed that to dry. It leaves a canvas like texture over the picture. It has to be tacky glue though, normal white glue doesn't have the same effect.
Well thank you very much for sharing that..I'll have to give it a try!🥰❤️
I’m so glad I found your channel! I am starting to make my own miniatures and you have so many helpful and creative ideas! Thank you! 😊❤
You are so welcome!🤗 Welcome to TinyKeyHoleMinis I am Happy to help, it's always a pleasure 🥰❤️
I enjoyed all the treasures you have made for the sewing room! I can't wait to see the sewing room!❤
Thank You so much!🥰❤️
There is only one word that describes your work and that sewing room and that is AWESOME,just found your channel and subscribed, thank you.
Thank You so much!🤗Welcome to Tiny KeyHole Minis!! I'm truly humbled!🥰💖
THAT is the PERFECT Way to put it! SPAWNING out of CONTROL!!! I'm concerned whether everything I made for the sewing room and dress shop will fit!😃THIS Was a Great video! I hear you Editing can be brutal! You are an amazing artist! I am So PROUD of YOU!! I LOVE YOUR HAIR!!
I love that your bits and supplies look just like items in my bags of " What are you keeping that for! I literally just had a terrible experience with mod podge bleeding my paint on a print! I loved Everything but My favorites are the the enhancement of the Fan, the belt, shelf, and I have never made men's ties, i should because all the men in my Rooming house! Lolololol! You have inspired me to try making some ties. i have some that i got from the Estate sale but I do need more men's items in the house! The records are so cute! You are a Sweetheart! By the way I LOVE Your hair!
🥹Thank You So Very Much Gretchen!! This was definitely a big one! But the show must go on..lol I think I will be working in the hallway next, I'm excited about the plans I have. I do my hair myself..I don't trust people with my hair..lol.. I used to be a hairstylist, I was a bridal specialist, but I did whatever I could because you make more money that way😆
funny.. color wasn't really my favorite thing because the formulas were like math, 😝 and the funny thing being an artist, they said the color should have come easy, but it didn't. Yes,🤗 make some ties for the man dolls! It was so fun and simple, and I am really surprised that you haven't yet. You pretty much think of everything across the board for your dolls😍 the shelf and fan are my fav also🥰❤️ oh yea the mod podge can be a nightmare, I'm thinking of switching to brochure paper, walmart carries a brand, not sure how much, but I usually don't like to use mod podge because it Can Not Be Trusted!!🫣😆 and the brochure paper prints lovely. Lately, I've had issues with my duraclear varnish, which is what I usually use, but it's been bleeding as well. I'm gonna give that new paper a try.
I love your videos. I really enjoy watching you work on your dollhouse. You have given me some ideas. I’m working on my painted lady doll house. I’m new at this and afraid of making mistakes. I’ve been watching your channel and little Gretchen’s workshop , and Bentley House minis, and Queen City minis. All of you have been helping me out a lot. I love you guys!❤
Thank You, that is so sweet of you...I definitely know the feeling of being afraid to make mistakes..but that still happens, even when you are no longer new to this and I'm sure even after years of doing this. Whenever I feel that way, and I do often, I try not to overthink it because it just gets worse if I do. Just go for it, One of the reasons why I love creating aged Minis is bc it doesn't matter if you mess it up, and the stress of making something old and aged is minimal to none. It's a win-win for me...lol The good thing is, we all mess up, and to be honest, that is part of the learning process, but it's a good thing because you learn what works and won't doesn't and those lessons tend to stick in the brain. Just like Gretchen has said, these aren't fine miniatures, they're Fun Miniatures!☺️😍 Try to have fun with what you are trying to create so that you don't get discouraged. I hope that helps a bit, and good luck with your journey. I am grateful to be a part of your miniature journey and that you are a part of mine, my Tiny Friend! 🥰💖
Super work, I have not attempted to make a Margo but I did find on eBay a hand made oldie with white hair similar to mine, all over the place so I am contemplating a sewing scene around her because that is my other passion. You are so kind to share as you do and have helped me adjust my eyes to detail. The plant comparison has definitely made me nervous about looking back at early work I did for my son and his wife 😂having said that I love your early plant glad you are keeping it as is 💖Thank you for Margo and her life. Happy 1 year and a month 💐✨✨
🤗Thank You so much! That all sounds lovely! 😍 Thank You for watching I love how the sewing room came out and didn't have as many ideas in the beginning they all came about as I was working on it.❤️🥰
Yay Jolene, and I also want to mention how gorgeous you are and love the blue in your hair! Oh my gosh, I love the 1936 calendar, I need that for my house lol Well actually the 40s but yeah, that I could put up in the bakery kitchen. And the photo you framed of you and your family, how great! The sewing room is just amazing! Love, love love!
Thank You so Much 🤗 I will be adding some Calenders to my shop next week and will make some 1940s as well..that's is a pic of my family and my best friend, I am not in the photo bc I took it..lol..🥰💖
Absolutely beautiful so well done! Wonderful work! Thank you so much for sharing ❤❤😊
Thank you so much for watching. I'm very glad you enjoyed it!😍💖
Wow! Love this soooo much!!! You are so creative and innovative!!! And AWESOME! Oh, I read somewhere that you hold crazy glue/gel for a count of 16 and it will stick - I have found this to be true!
Thank you so much! I never knew that, now I will be counting to 16..lol🥰❤️
Great room, lovely and creative items! Kathleen
Thank you so much! I wonder which room I will venture off to next! I'm thinking the hallway, I have some plans in mind!🥰💖
Omg your hair is amazing!!!
Absolutely love how you get the smallest details in. ❤🎉😊 i love diecast stuff. The popcorn😂 so darn cute!!!!!! I cannot believe the pattern packages 🤯
That sewing basket is CRAZZYYY. I want your book!!!.
I literally comment on my phone as i watch your video on TV 😂
I need that jewlery glue.
Thank you for sharing your genius work. Xoxo
Thank you so much. Check your package when you get it, I might have put one in there, but I can't remember, bc i did multiple packages😘❤️

Brilliant Jolene, loved this and seeing how you made the various pieces. You’ve done so well to get such a good amount of subscribers in just a year too, congratulations. 😊
🤗 Thank You so much! I still have this room on my mind ..so I have almost already forgotten about the 1yr😆🥰💖
So beautiful!! The picture of your family is such a cool touch. I want to add mine I just have to figure out how lol!
Thank you so much 🥰
I scanned these in with my printer..it's an all in one, you can also use your phone camera take a picture of the picture you want and email it to yourself or if you can hook your phone up to your computer you can transfer the file that way as well..once you get your photo in your computer you can use different programs to shrink it down to the size you want. Microsoft Word, Cricut Design, Photoshop, etc. But the key is to change your dpi setting it's normally set to 300 you want to change it to 600 in your printing settings when the printing box pops up. Hope this helps..if not I can share some links.🥰💖
It’s enchanting. Love!
Thank You so much! I really adore it and more than I expected!!🥰💖
Congrats on your 1st year anniversary! Loved this video. And yes, your videos are inspirational; your ideas are amazing! 🥰
🤗Tysm!🥰❤️
First up, GURL! Your hair is FIRE! I love it so much! Happy 1st channel birthday! The sewing room came out so amazing, I could spend absolute hours looking through all the little details in there. You have a staggering level of detail in there and I am absolutely envious!
Kiwi is so adorable too, secretly guest starring in the video lol
Thank You So Much!🫶🏽🥰 lol, Kiwi, I was waiting for her to land on my head. Usually, I'm wearing my hair in a messy bun that looks like a comfy nest.. and she loves it😆🤣.
I realized I did forget to add the picture of the house in the painting bc I was working so late. 🙃 I am glad the editing part is over! I'll be back with my new lady friend I haven't quiet figured out what to do with her, I have so many ideas, and I keep seeing the poor girl as some sort of saloon gal. Or from the brothel 🫣 I would feel bad if I gave her a permanent life there. 😆 I definitely see some sort of big hat on her head.
You are an inspiration. Thank you for sharing.
You are very welcome! Thank You so much!❤️🥰
Love it! Thanks for sharing your process - the ties are especially cute
Thank you so much for watching. They are super easy to make and can be added to the man dolls outfit🥰💖
I hope I'm remembering this right, but I think you can heat set inkjet ink. I recently printed something and put glue over it and it bled, so I looked up how to prevent it, and one way was laminate, which wasn't an option, and another was to heat set with an iron. I haven't tried it yet, but wanted to pass it along in case you wanted to try it out for your printed images. Thanks for the story about the painter. I found that very interesting and quite humorous.
Thanx so much for the tip..very interesting! Those are some fun facts about American Gothic 🥰💖
So many junk/art journalers print out color images and cover with wet media. But last time my color ink jet was working even a slight mist, like fog, would make the ink smear. Maybe technology has improved.
But even back then, the specs for my printer said if I used their brand of ink and paper the image would hold up outside for 50 years, light-fast etc. Not at all true
@recoveringsoul755 I just learned about brochure paper, which prints beautifully..idk about if it needs a sealer or not, if it will bleed.. but im going to give it a try.
So amazing. Your detail work is great. Wow.
Thank you so much!❤️🥰
Lovely a room with history and decades of personal items. I read an article recently about how the color of things for sale, from cars to houses, have gotten less varied and more dull. Most cars black white grey. There are just less options from manufacturers. So they get to decide what we buy. People cant buy a car in their favorite color. And they connected it to a drop in mental health.
Many things can affect mental health and correlation doesn't prove causation
Thank you so much.. yes I never agreed with not being able to pick our own color I mean we are the ones paying for it, should be what we want with what we can afford.🥰
@@tinykeyholeminis I'm relieved you knew what I meant with all those spelling typos. Let me edit that. Yikes!
@@recoveringsoul755 I was a bit confused, but I read between the lines..🤣😉
So good, adorable
Thank You So Much for watching!🤗💖🥰
Oh Jolene everything is SO BEAUTIFUL...Your hair! The minis! And most of all your SPIRIT! You are such an inspiration. I just loved watching not only how you made everything ( thank you so much) but how your creativity moves through you and shows in everything you do. Using the Miss Wood and Dentist photograph was ✨b r i l l i a n t✨. This hour flew by and I'm a little sad to see it end. 🥰😍✨
Thank you so much, my dear friend..this is so so sweet of you..I truly appreciate and very blessed that you are a part of my journey 🥹🥰❤️
Hey hun hope your well, I'm about to give this a full watch I look forward to it ❤
🤗 Thank You so much, hope you enjoy it!🥰❤️
🎉fantastic love love love it🎉
Thank you so much!🤗💖
I love your work!
Thank You so much, so great to hear!🤗🥰
Oh my goodness this is FANTASTIC!! I just found your channel, and now I'm going to have to go back and see how you made the other items! I JUST started my channel, and I was also inspired to do so by Ara Bentley. She is amazing and encouraging. I particularly love your remake of the fan, the table/shelf, your patterns, your records and the record sleeves (!!!) - well pretty much everything lol. I have the same victrola and will be using it in a Downton Abbey house. Oh and I love your signature book - very cool! I now have to play catchup and go look at your other videos..... oh and I just subscribed 😁
Thank You So Much 🤗 Welcome to Tiny KeyHole Minis 💖🥰 I love Downton Abbey. Have you ever tried the tea?!? Once I found some at World Market... I'll have to subscribe to your channel as well!🥰💖
No - I have seen the tea, but never tried it! Thanks so much for subscribing to my channel as well! I have to find a better method of recording than my phone, but its a start!💖@@tinykeyholeminis
@midvaleminis9736 Yes, it is a start🥰..I'm still trying to find a better set up myself, it's awkward trying to work and record.
I love it all ❤
Thank You so much!!..I'm so glad you Love it!!🤗💖🥰
Such a wonderful lived-in room!! I love that you used the photo of the models for that painting! Your attention to detail has produced such a realistic space!! Your book is a great idea! ❤
Thank you so much! 🤗 I don't know why I haven't come up with that book sooner, I had a whole spout of making books, and that was not one of them. Lol, it just came thru with the storm of ideas that flooded my mind while creating this room.
🥰❤️
@@tinykeyholeminis When it rains, it pours!!!
@Siennaflower I love it when it pours rainbows and butterflies!! 🌈 🦋 💖
Happy channel birthday!
So many great ideas in this vid. Your pieces always tell a story
I’ve been planning to paint those fans too but I didn’t realize that they pop apart! (First one arrived broken at the base so I’ve been afraid to touch them much) Yours came out great ❤
Thank you so much🥰 I love adding Easter eggs throughout the house. There are several more laying around, from The Shining, Beetlejuice, and Coraline, and I'm sure to put more in. Maybe you can fix the broken fan as well with Aleene's jewelry and metal glue. You can find it at Walmart if you have a local store or online. It comes in 2 options both for the same price for just over $2, I choose to get the 3 pack of small tubes in case the cap gets glued shut, I'm not losing a huge tube of glue. But I love using it. It does dry white, so you have to be careful, but it gives you a little more time for adjustments than lock tight super glue, which I love as well because it dries clear. Thank you for watching!🥰💖
Very good!
Lol..nooo I am not, but my mom is..lol I am Scorpio! 🦂💯 percent!! I wonder if I am Virgo moon?! I'm going to check on that!😆🥰
I ❤ watching your video! You gave me so many ideas. Recently, my daughter rescued an old miniature doll Farmhouse with its furniture for me. Last month. Your channel is perfect for inspiration. I am new to miniatures. I want a sewing room in the Farmhouse. My Grandmother used to sew dresses for me on an treadle Singer sewing machine. Also, is there a formula to follow for shrinking originals to miniature size on a printer? I want to make a Halloween book I used to read to my children into a miniature copy. I will need to go to a print shop to have it copied. I don’t want to make a mistake. I love your Halloween calendar. Do you sell those in your Etsy shop? I apologize for so many questions. Your work is beautiful. Thanks again. 😊
Thank you so much!! So happy to hear all of that!! Welcome to the Mini Side!!!🤗 I will be adding some of the calenders to my shop..I will have them up next week..They came out so adorable...also if there is a formula..for shrinking miniatures..please share! I have made one of my fav children's books into a miniature as well...it was Dean's Book of Fairytales from the 70s.🥰💖
Sewing Box & vintage paper patterns are my favorite 😍-are there some available in your Etsy shop?
Thank you so much. If you're talking about the old boxes of sewing patterns, yes, there are a couple left. ❤️🥰
i do have a stash of odds and ends from doing minis over 30 yrs ago! LOL i am recently retired adn getting back into them...any tips on what composents would go into making a kitchen hand pump? my colonial/victorian house needs a sink. right now i am starting w/ a small dry sink, adding a 'stone' basin and am considering a pump on the side. coffee straw perhaps adn little jewelry bead ends...the spout and handle though ?????
Thank You for watching 🥰 if you can't find pieces in your stash that will spark ideas or be useful, you can always create pieces with chipboard or card stock, and layer several cuts together for the thickness, when I do something like that sometimes I like to use wood glue to seal and shape the paper, like I did for the dollar tree table transformation and also the Fiddle. Wood glue is very fun and easy to work with. It's almost as though you can sculpt it as you are using it, and you can layer it after drying. You can also sand it lightly, some other options, air dry clay sealing with wood glue for smoother finishes, or polymer clay. I hope this helps. I'm not sure exactly what the piece that you're going for looks like, but I'm assuming it might look like the one in the Chrysnbon kit. And of course, there's that option, and you can always modify those kits.🥰💖
thank you! great ideas - i will have to get some glue and paper to play with and see what i can come up with :)@@tinykeyholeminis
🎉what type of bird do you have? 🎉
Kiwi is a Cocktiel ..she's a pain in the bird!😆🥰
