    if sudo chattr is not the best way to stop the resolv.conf file from being overwriiten each time i reboot the OS what are they other methods and could you tell me why sudo chattr is not the best method please?

      Okay i think i uderstand so chatter will simply change the permissions of the resolv.conf file ?
