I really liked yesterday's and today's colors. I'm very happy and appreciate you taking the time to continue to share these videos with us. Also, the painting are very lovely. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones.
Thanks! I wasn't sure whether anyone would recognize it as an Oz painting... but Seattle's nickname is the Emerald City, so I feel obligated to throw it out there now and then 🙂
Ditto! At first glance, I thought it looked like it could be Emerald City in the distance, but I wasn't sure. Then I noticed the figures on the road and got excited. Heh.
I really liked how green todays color was! I felt as through we’ve been having a lot of blues and greys and reds, so I’m happy to get something else :D. Color was gorgeous but I agree with it being a bit dry
Yes, it was a nice bit of variety 🙂 It seems to me that most Colorverse inks are on the dry side, and I'm glad that they're consistent about it... it's good to know where to look when I need a dryer ink.
@ fair. I do however feel like their shimmers aren’t as dry, compared to other shimmer inks. But that might just be because they simply have less than other inks such as FWP or Diamine. But that might just be me
Love a good bird! Also this is a lovely color to look at. I'm not a fan of how the ink lays in the writing sample but you've made beautiful artwork with it!
Thanks Rebecca :-) It's another ink that is a little bit on the pale side, which helps it shade nicely, but maybe a little too much. It's not as pale as some we've had, but it is pale enough that I would think twice about buying a bottle.
How are your hummers just eating side by side like that? The ones here are so territorial and combative. I'm not usually big on teal shades, but this one is beautiful.
I do have Lamy Tourmaline (very nice!), and it's another one of those inks that feels like it will be similar to this, but when you actually put them together, it's much more blue. This stuff is also much more pale and watery than the Tourmaline, which will sheen a bit when its heavy.
Random ADHD thots: You have hummingbirds in winter! 😀Lovely painting to showcase that color! Oooh - that color is one often found in hummingbird feathers.
Every single video is a visual treat
Matthew, I hope you had a good weekend in the mountains. I really like this ink too, also loved the emerald city painting!
It looks like the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean. I really like this calendar so far. I think I will go for it next year.
Oh, nice painting for that ink!
I have to say I'm quite enjoying this series, many of those colors are really beautiful.

Thanks! Merry Christmas to you and yours as well 🙂
Love the Oz painting!

Nice one!
Really beautiful green(teal) colour. I like this kind of ink colour. Your handwriting is also very neat and nice.👌
See you tomorrow.
Thanks! 🙂
Lovely colour. And once again your painting is excellent
Your painting had me wanting to tap my heels together and start skipping down the pathway, arms linked with my tin and straw friends * winks *
Your lovely hummingbirds! We get them here in the spring .
We get them all year round, but they're heaviest at the feeder on chilly days. Sunny days like today they have better things to do 🙂
Love a good bird!

Good painting 🎨🖌️
Thanks!

In the summer, they're very territorial, but this time of year they seem to settle down a get into the holiday spirit and share. 🙂
Very nice! Do you happen to have LAMY tourmaline? It looks a bit like that. And your painting looks like the wizard of oz

I like this shade a lot. Would you call it turquoise?
I think if this as greener than turquoise, but honestly I'm not very good with color names🙂
Was that some of your artwork at the end of the video? If so, very impressive.
Thanks! Not sure I can call them art, but I've added little ink paintings into a few of these, now.
@ Well whatever you call them, they are nice. Interesting to see a monotone image created by one ink.

I saw this ink and thought.. are we going to get a color this year that is closer to hummingbird feathers? Probably not 🙂
