This song perfectly captures the optimism we had during that decade NBA was becoming popular all over the world because of Michael Jordan and all its budding stars We had popular sitcoms like FRIENDS. Now? Every TV series has to be heavy and dark No woke propaganda back then No Kardashians and other celebrities flaunting their lifestyles in reality shows to make you feel sorry for yours We looked up to NBA stars, athletes and talented people as role models, there were no toxic social media personalities Our action heroes did their own stunts and were in shape, CGI was not overused No Fake news, toxic positivity, masculinity, or feminism Though of course there were challenges and problems, we all just looked forward to having a good time. Like the song says, Just say Hey if you feel alright. That is the 90s for you
