I loved this series as a kid. My only complaint is that they didn't have the Apostle John, Clement of Rome, or the Apostles Peter and Paul (in a flashback) cameo in this. That would have been so cool!
The storykeepers tells us a lesson in Sharing love and stories to one another. Ben and Helena along with a group of kids they took in under their wing were always on the run and in hiding under the rule of Emperor Nero who ordered the persecution on all Christian people. They Ben and Helena each told stories to their kids and neighbors about Jesus and God’s love through these bad times. They all learned that Faith and love can always help them overcome any obstacle that comes their way through their circumstances. In the end the children found new families or reunited with them and they finally found a place where they can all live in peace and keep the stories of Jesus alive for more centuries to come. There’s a lot of ways to show love to one another, like helping, Forgiving, Sharing, even praying for each other. The story of this series tells us that for anyone who hears God’s words and puts them into practice, we should learn to love our neighbors and our enemies above ourselves. Because God Loves us, we should always love others too. “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God, and everyone that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.” 1 John 4:7
