Such a beautiful and romantic movie! i saw it when I was a teen and never forgot it because I loved the 3 main stars in it -- (no longer with us...R.I.P. ) and mostly because of the theme song, one of the most beautiful film themes ever.composed. 💖💖

Loved this gorgeous song since I was 6 years old, now 73 ~ The movie has always been a favorite ~ Audrey Hepburn and Gary Cooper were Brilliant IMO ~ True Romance was and is Still Alive.

Watched LOVE IN THE AFTERNOON on TCM last night. Wow, thought I’d seen most of Audrey’s movies. How did I miss this one. So good. I think one of the truly romantic endings ever. She had me in tears. Coop was so handsome, and some said too old for the part. This 60 year girl totally disagree. Extremely handsome and charming. Perfect duo.
Yeah I don’t get the older thing, Lucille Ball could have done a film like this with a younger guy. She looked great in her fifties and sixties, and she retained her girlish figure that whole time. If you look good and have a good personality would matter as much. Though I guess for some reason people are more upset if it’s an older guy vs an older woman another thing that makes little sense.

I have always been drawn + attracted to older men (7-15 yrs my senior)...finer minds and manners in the better ones; the younger ones by comparison just seemed immature...
I would have relished every moment w/Coop -- whether horseback riding, skeet shooting, fishing, scuba diving, on a dance floor or otherwise.....💞

I first heard 'Fascination' as a teen when watching 'The Karate Kid' appx three decades ago. Now I got to watch 'Love in the Afternoon' - the movie where it was first featured. Life has become a full circle indeed.

Cary Grant was first offered the lead role in this film. He turned it down saying that he was too old to star with Audrey Hepburn. So, the role went to Gary Cooper who was older than Cary Grant!

What a pity. Cary's sense of humor would have been great in this role. Gary seemed sour in his later years.

Her clean cut innocent image was false & her "closed doors"image, tells another illicit story. The stars of this film, the beautiful singer Jane Morgan & the wonderful romantic ballad, "Fascination". I was not fascinated by this film, but very embarrassed. Wilder, I guess, the box office potential takings influenced you, in making this film. Its typical film industry's greed for money. I totally disagree with the estreme importance of the age difference between lovers. In real life it does not mean much. People of different ages may fall in love with much older or younger ones. Love does not have such rules.
