When my husband and I were dating (we’ve been married almost 30 years!), we had dinner at an Italian restaurant. He held up a packet of bread sticks-two bread sticks in a little plastic envelope. He said, “My idea of a perfect relationship is like these two bread sticks. Two individuals who can be together yet still be themselves and have their own interests.” When you talked about being in your cabin together with your partner, each doing your art, it reminded me of what my husband said to me, so many years ago. What a gift that you can be together yet apart and free to pursue your interests and have time for self reflection. I loved seeing your artwork and hearing about its sacred qualities for you. Thank you for sharing this incredibly personal and intimate time with us!
