    I also have a Starker bridge. It was fitted by Ole Dahl at his shop in Bloomington, when I was a student at IU in 1963-1968. Ole allowed me to observe how he very carefully drilled the wood out in a "megaphone" cone in both "feet" of the bridge blank. I also noticed an improvement of the tone, especially on the G and C strings.
    I'm not sure why these are so "rare" to find people that use this design. Thanks for this video.

    I have watched many videos and purchased wonderful old records of Mr. Starkers performances and teachings.
    His inspiration and humble nature will always be there for generations to appreciate. The bridge is something very interesting so thank you for sharing.🙏🏻
