Your piano slamming made me start laughing and I just could not stop. You made the point so clearly. Great blues piano teacher and such a nice fellow. Thank you, Christian.
I thought to take on the walking bass lines but I know I'm not ready for that. So I came here instead and this is perfect. Blues in G Minor. You seem to play the changes that I hear in my head but don't know how to execute. After some hours of this tutorial I know I'll be able to play it. Thanks, Christian!
Hey Christian, love the videos man you're lessons are gold! would love to see some more advanced versions of some of the ballads, even just to watch how you play them! Appreciate your content!
Bravo, Good Sir for breaking the cycle of nonstop blues piano videos in the key of C. I tell everyone who will listen - if you want to play blues with guitarists and horn players, get comfortable in keys other than C - starting in E and Bb.
Christian, I am really happy that I found your channel almost 3 years ago now. What a giant steps I did with you're tutorials on RUclips and Patreon. Now I am able to quickly understand the elements on the right that you play from this kind of vidéo. A Big thumb up for you're way of teaching piano and especially the blues !!! 👍👍
Well, as teacher that's just the greatest thing to hear: that you did giant steps with my help! Also, of course, very nice to have you on board on my PATREON! Thanks you, too! 👍
The same thing i can tell about me, the last 3 or 4 years i progressed fastly in understanding the right hands elements with your help, i also can connect it easily on an left hand shuffle, like AS boogie woogie, but its hard for me to connect it to an chord progression in slow blues, like in this tutorial
Your life is a testimony to the fact that good things happen to good people. Your lessons have given me the ability to play in a gospel band . However I did play in a church for 20 years with my wife that forbade the musica diabla . She passed away 6 1/2 years ago , bless her soul, and that has given me the freedom to pursue the kind of music I always wanted to play , which is the kind of music that you teach. I have some neuropathy in my hands which limits some of the things I can do (2-5 business, etc). However I can still take care of business which all I do is play piano all day. Please make more videos of you just playing at full speed, with your trio or ugly band. Thanks you are my guru. A---men. Rev G. St Paul Minnesota.
In one of your videos you mentioned keeping the LH compact. So: Gm7- Bb D G Cm7- Bb Eb G then Ao- A C Eb G and D7- A C D F# That is a 7 key span. Only move your fingers
I used the 10 second reverse function a record number of times during this tutorial - primarily because I fell off my seat laughing a record number of times!
Say Hey Chris, I'm not sure your playing and teaching are getting any better. That would be hard to do. But, you ARE getting funnier! Thanks for another great lesson.
Bonjour Christian, Est-ce que vous pouvez arranger façon Blues les morceaux suivants avec les partitions : - No woman no cry by Bob Marley - Rédemption song by Bob Marley - One love by Bob Marley - Stir it up by Bob Marley - I got my mojo working by Jimmy Smithe - Free by Stevie Wonder -Isn't she lovely by Stevie Wonder Merci A. Hilal
Great tutorial and he is funny. If you listen to the old American players they played behind the beat and right hand almost independently in another beat..as if right hand is trying to catch up to the left
Christian, I am afraid you are getting old and you started to forget. Don’t you remember that blues was invented in Germany by your great great great grand father (and not Earl Grey), back in 1600? Anyway, your lessons are still excellent, which means that at least you still remember how to play the piano, so for us it’s OK :-)). 😀😀😀
Damn you are right! And you paid attention pretty well! Luckily my great great great grandfather can't see that I said this...I am really getting old...
Earl Grey invented the blues.? I had tea with Earl recently and he failed mention that he had invented the Blues. I have to bring the Crumpets next week, so I will have a great conversation with him about the blues. We are going to Visit Alice. Thank You Professor.
Come for the lesson, the German humor is a bonus

Ein toller Pianist, dem ich gerne über die Schulter schaue.

That lick before "pay me" was priceless. And the pedal tones off b7 and octave. Thank you!

Earl is very shy about it, cause no one would believe him. I even didn't, cause here we learn that Blues was invented in Berlin.
