I used leftover paint and scrap wood for this entire project! I did invest in a new light and used these mirrors I had sitting in my garage for months to bring it new life! Renovations don’t need to be a full gut job! Paint can make a HUGE impact!

It is so refreshing to see someone finally step away from the gray zone. Sometimes I think all the paint stores decided about ten years ago to sell only gray paint. The white with the wood accents is beautiful.
I'm glad you like the white. After years of apartment living, I don't think I'll ever paint a room totally white on purpose. It's just this over-bright blandness that reminds me my home isn't mine.

Professional painter of 21 years here…alabaster will turn super yellow in kitchens and baths in about a years time. The longer its there the more yellow it gets and will eventually look like a smoker lived in your home. Avoid alabaster if you dont like yellow!
I love the creamy white! It verges toward buttercream and looks so soft and lovely and warm.

The people who says it's gross to have a towel rack above the toilet are the gross ones, because they must be the ones with issues because they DON'T shut the toilet lid to flush.
Poop germs 🦠 come out into the air while you’re pooping fyi. The flush is the second half of that. But germs build character so have at it
I never believe people when they claim that they 100% close the toilet lid before every flush
What about when you have guests
@@lilykhandker4126 I get where you're coming from but my only guests are my sisters and they close the lid. Besides a little polite note such as "Please close the lid to flush - Thanks" should suffice.

Reality is, there is still a gap in the toilet even after you shut the lid that gunk escapes through when you flush the toilet with the lid closed...
I have a sign above my toilet that reminds guests to close the lid before they flush. Lol

Recommend doing something about the clashing color on the floor. Nice towel rack.
Plan was to renovate completely but at the time, had budget for minor upgrades 😊 we sold the house in August before getting to fully reno!

How do you fix a door like that? I have one that's driving me up the wall!
To keep a door from opening or closing on it's own, take out a door pin and lightly use a hammer to just ever so slightly bend it. You may have to repeat, which is better than trying to get the pin straighter. The newly curved pin will cause tension in the hinge and stop the movement.

I like to use my toilet tank as my cup holder.
You might always shut the lid but other people don’t don’t store anything near the toilet. I mean nothing towels toothbrushes cups. Keep the shower curtain closed change your hand towel in the bathroom every day if you have visitors. I always close the toilet always. But I go in and clean and wipe everything down with Clorox wipes, change the towel, if I have a visitor who uses my bathroom. Because people who flush with the lid down are in the vast minority.
